The 2015 European Modern Pentathlon Championships was held in Bath, Great Britain from 17 to 23 August 2015. The event was a direct qualification event for the 2016 Summer Olympics, with the eight highest finishers in the men's and women's individual events gaining quota places for their National Olympic Committee at the 2016 Games. Bath, Somerset
Bath () is a city in the Bath and North East Somerset unitary area in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths. At the 2021 Census, the population was 101,557. Élodie Clouvel (; born 14 January 1989) is a French modern pentathlete. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed finishing in 31st place which also marked her maiden appearance at the Summer Olympics. She won the silver medal in the event at the 2016 Olympic Games. She is also currently serving as the second lieutenant of the National Gendarmerie. Her father Pascal Clouvel was a middle and long-distance runner, while her mother Annick Clouvel was also a long-distance runner. Laura Asadauskaitė-Zadneprovskienė (born 28 February 1984 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian modern pentathlete. She won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and achieved an Olympic record score. Asadauskaitė also competed in three other Olympics, 2008 in Beijing, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, and in 2021 in Tokyo Olympics in which she was awarded with the silver medal.
