Barclaycard Arena
Arena Birmingham (known for sponsorship reasons as Utilita Arena Birmingham, and previously as The Barclaycard Arena and originally as the National Indoor Arena) is an indoor arena and sporting venue in central Birmingham, United Kingdom. It is owned by parent company the NEC Group. When it was opened in 1991, it was the largest indoor arena in the UK. The arena was renamed Utilita Arena Birmingham on 15 April 2020. The arena is located alongside the Birmingham Canal Navigations Main Line's Old Turn Junction and opposite the National Sea Life Centre in Brindleyplace. Lin Dan (born 14 October 1983) is a Chinese former professional badminton player. He is a two-time Olympic champion, five-time World champion, as well as a six-time All England champion. Lee Dong-keun (Hangul: 이동근; or ; born 20 November 1990) is a Korean badminton player specializing in men's singles. He won his first international senior title at the 2011 Vietnam International tournament. Lee participated at the 2012 World University Championships in Gwangju, South Korea, won a gold medal in the mixed team and a bronze in the singles events. is a Japanese badminton player. He is known to have a skillful and relentless play style on court. Parupalli Kashyap (born 8 September 1986) is an Indian badminton player. A former World No.6, he trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy. He was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2012. Xue Song (; born 22 January 1994) is a Chinese badminton player who specializes in men's singles. Career In 2002, Xue was sent to train at the badminton school in Jiangsu, and at aged 13, he won the national junior title in singles and doubles event.
