2015 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2015 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 129th staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The draw for the 2015 fixtures took place on 9 October 2014 live on RTÉ2. The championship began on 3 May 2015 and ended on 6 September 2015. Kilkenny were the defending champions and successfully retained the title following a 1–22 to 1–18 defeat of Galway. Neil McManus
Neil McManus (born 1988) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-forward for the Antrim senior team. Born in Cushendall, County Antrim, McManus first played competitive hurling during his school days at St MacNissi's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Antrim minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. He made his senior debut in the 2007 championship. McManus has been a key member of the team since then, and has won five Ulster medals and one Walsh Cup medal. McManus has represented the Ulster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions. At club level he is a two-time Ulster medallist with Ruairí Óg. He has also won three championship medals. Davy Fitzgerald
David Dermot Fitzgerald (born 2 August 1971) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He has been manager of the Waterford county team since 2022, having previously managed the team between 2008 and 2011. As a player, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation. Fitzgerald began his hurling career at club level with Sixmilebridge. He broke onto the club's top adult team as a 17-year-old in 1989 and had his greatest success in 1996 when Sixmilebridge won the All-Ireland Club Championship. Fitzgerald's club career ended in 2011, by which time he had also won two Munster Club Championship titles and six Clare Senior Championship titles. Patrick O'Connor (hurler)
Patrick O'Connor (born 6 February 1991) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Tubber and was a member of the Clare senior inter-county team from 2011 until he retired form inter-county hurling in 2022. He made his Championship debut for Clare against Tipperary in the 2011 Munster Senior Hurling Championship on 19 July 2011. Conor McGrath
Conor McGrath (born 29 May 1991) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for the Clare senior team. Born in Ennis, County Clare, McGrath was introduced to hurling by his father, a Toomevara native who was heavily involved in hurling coaching. He developed his skills in the Harty Cup with St. Caimin's Community School, while simultaneously becoming involved at underage levels with the Cratloe club. A dual player at the highest level, McGrath has won two championship medals each in both hurling and Gaelic football. McGrath made his debut on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Clare minor team. After little success in this grade, he later won two All-Ireland medals with the under-21 team. Cian Dillon
Cian Dillon (born 30 October 1988) is an Irish hurler who plays for club side Crusheen. He usually plays as a left corner-back, but can also be deployed as a full-back. Dillon was a member of the Clare senior hurling team that won the 2013 All-Ireland Championship. Career Dillon first came to prominence as a hurler at juvenile and underage levels with the Crusheen club, however, it was as a member of the club's senior hurling team that he has enjoyed his greatest successes. Pat English is an Irish former hurler who played at senior level for the Carlow county team. He is former manager of the Carlow senior team. Born in Ballinkillin, County Carlow, English first played competitive hurling in his youth. Alan Corcoran (born 1989) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner-back for the Carlow senior team. Born in Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Corcoran first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Presentation De La Salle.
