2015 All-Australian Team
The 2015 Virgin Australia All-Australian team represents the best performed Australian Football League (AFL) players during the 2015 season. It was announced on 22 September as a complete Australian rules football team of 22 players. The team is honorary and does not play any games. Selection panel The selection panel for the 2015 All-Australian team consisted of chairman Gillon McLachlan, Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Mark Evans, Danny Frawley, Glen Jakovich, Cameron Ling, Matthew Richardson and Warren Tredrea. Team Initial squad The initial 40-man squad was announced on 8 September. For the first time since 2006, neither Lance Franklin nor received a nomination. Rory Laird (born 29 December 1993) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Adelaide with pick 5 in the 2011 Rookie Draft. AFL career In his first season in the AFL, Laird did not play for Adelaide. He played 18 consecutive games for in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), including three finals, but was dropped from the team that played in the SANFL Grand Final. Josh Gibson (footballer)
Joshua Gibson (born 13 March 1984) is a former Australian rules football player who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League and is regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation. Shaun Playford Burgoyne (born 21 October 1982) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Port Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL, and Port Adelaide and Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Jeremy Cameron
Jeremy Cameron (born 1 April 1993) is a professional footballer with the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2012 to 2020. Lachlan Oliver Neale (born 24 May 1993) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Fremantle Football Club from 2012 to 2018 before being traded to the Brisbane Lions in 2019 where he won the 2020 Brownlow Medal. David Mundy
David Mundy (born 20 July 1985) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played as a half back flanker or midfielder and was the captain of Fremantle during the 2016 AFL season. Mundy sits eighth in the VFL/AFL games records for most games played. Garrick Ibbotson (born 15 March 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Stephen Hill (born 1 May 1990) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Nathan Fyfe (born 18 September 1991) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Michael Hurley (born 1 June 1990) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
