2014–15 West Bromwich Albion F.C. Season
The 2014–15 season was West Bromwich Albion's fifth consecutive season in the Premier League, their ninth in total. The season was notable for West Brom ditching the traditional white and navy stripes kit in favour of white and navy pinstripes kit, which angered many supporters. Eventually, the white and navy stripes kit was brought back the following season. During the season, they also competed in the FA Cup. West Brom were knocked out of the League Cup in the fourth round, losing away to Bournemouth. The club exited the FA Cup in the sixth round, after they were beaten by local rivals Aston Villa. On 6 November 2014, Albion unveiled a statue to their record goalscorer Tony "Bomber" Brown outside the East Stand of The Hawthorns. A few days later, prior to the club's home match against Newcastle United, a blue plaque was unveiled in memory of Harold Bache, a former Albion player who was killed in action during the First World War. West Bromwich Albion F
West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sunset, Sun sets on the Earth. James Morrison (footballer)
James Clark Morrison (born 25 May 1986) is a football coach and former professional player who played as a midfielder. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest West Bromwich Albion midfielders in the club’s history. Morrison is currently a first-team coach at West Bromwich Albion, and played for Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion between 2004 and 2019. After representing various England junior sides, Morrison chose to play for Scotland at full international level. He made 46 full international appearances between 2008 and 2017. Club career Middlesbrough Morrison was born in Darlington, County Durham, and attended Hummersknott School. He is a product of Middlesbrough's youth academy. Joleon Lescott
Joleon Patrick Lescott (born 16 August 1982) is an English former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He currently works as a coach with the England U21s. Lescott is a graduate of the Wolverhampton Wanderers youth academy. He made his first-team debut with Wolves in 2000 and he was named the supporters' Young Player of the Year two years running. He was a regular player as the club won promotion to the Premier League in 2003, but missed the following relegation season through injury. Claudio Yacob
Claudio Ariel Yacob (born 18 July 1987) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. He began his career at Racing Club, and played two international games for Argentina in 2011. He moved to England's West Bromwich Albion in 2012 where he made 171 total appearances over six Premier League seasons. After a brief spell with Nottingham Forest in the Championship, he signed for Nacional in January 2020. Chris Baird
Christopher Patrick Baird (born 25 February 1982) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer who last played for Derby County and represented the Northern Ireland national football team from 2003 to 2016. His preferred position was right-back or centre-half, but he also played on occasion as a left-back, defensive midfielder and central midfielder. Olle Jonas Olsson (born 10 March 1983) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Beginning his career with Landskrona BoIS in 2003, he went on to represent NEC Nijmegen, West Bromwich Albion, and Djurgårdens IF before retiring at Wigan Athletic in 2019. A full international between 2010 and 2015, he won 25 caps for the Swedish national team and represented his country at Euro 2012. Ben Anthony Foster (born 3 April 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He began his professional career in 2001 with Stoke City, having joined from Racing Club Warwick. However, he never made an appearance for Stoke, and spent time on loan with Bristol City, Tiverton Town, Stafford Rangers, Kidderminster Harriers and Wrexham. Jeff Astle
Jeffrey Astle (13 May 1942 – 19 January 2002) was an English professional association football, footballer who played the majority of his career as a centre-forward for West Bromwich Albion. Nicknamed "the King" by the club's fans, he played 361 games for them and scored 174 goals. He also won five cap (football), caps for England national football team, England without scoring.
