2014–15 Santosh Trophy
The 2015 Santosh Trophy is the 69th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main state competition in Indian football. 33 teams in total from around India entered the competition. Only 10 teams competed in the competition proper after going through the qualifiers. The tournament proper began on 1 March and will conclude with the final on 15 March. Santosh Trophy
The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a state-level football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the starting of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic honour in India. Many players who have represented India internationally, played and gained honour while playing in the Santosh Trophy. The tournament is held every year with 37 teams, who are divided into five zones, must play in the qualifying round and progress into the tournament proper. The current champions are Kerala, who won their seventh title during the 2021–22 edition. Micky Fernandes
Micky Fernandes (born 20 August 1983) is a retired Indian footballer who played as a midfielder, and is the current manager of Goa Professional League side Vasco SC. Career Fernandes started his professional career with Salgaocar of the National Football League in 2003 and stayed at the club till 2007. From Salgaocar, Fernandes joined Sporting Clube de Goa where he stayed till 2009. Mackroy Peixote (born 11 May 1990) is an Indian association football, footballer who currently plays for Laxmi Prasad in the Goa Professional League. Career Sporting Clube de Goa In June 2011 Mackroy signed for Sporting Clube de Goa who play in the I-League. He then made his debut for Sporting Goa on 23 October 2011 against Prayag United S.C., Prayag United in the I-League.
