2014–15 Odense Bulldogs Season
The 2014–15 Metal Ligaen season was the 24th season in the Danish Hockey League since the team was promoted in 1990. The team has completed 26 transfers, 13 in and 13 out. They have furthermore got a new General Manager, Brad Gratton, who switched from the league rivals from Rødovre Mighty Bulls. Bulldogs finished as number 4 in the general classification, after a long period sitting in first place. Odense Isstadion ('Odense Ice Stadium'), also known as Spar Nord Arena for sponsorship reasons, is an ice hockey arena in Bolbro, Odense, Denmark. It has previously been known as VinMedKant Arena, Bryggeriet Vestfyen Arena, and Albani Arena for sponsorship reasons. Ryan McDonough (ice Hockey)
Ryan McDonough (born January 2, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played for several teams in Europe. McDonough played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League, spending one season with the Sudbury Wolves and three seasons with the Saginaw Spirit. He led the Spirit in points in 2005–06 with 88 points and in 2007-08 he led the team in goals with 45. Despite this, McDonough remained undrafted in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He turned pro in 2008 and signed with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Hockey League. After a season with Salzburg, McDonough returned briefly to North America to attend and play hockey with the University of Western Ontario before leaving to play for EV Landshut in the second German league. Chet Pickard
Chet Pickard (born November 29, 1989) is a Canadian-German former professional ice hockey goaltender. He most notably played in the American Hockey League and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He holds a German passport. Playing career Pickard played minor hockey with the Winnipeg Monarchs before joining the major junior ranks with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2005–06. He played backup to Carey Price in his first two seasons, then took over the starting position in 2007–08 as Price graduated to the Montreal Canadiens. Metal Ligaen
Metal Ligaen is the premier league in Danish ice hockey. The league consists of 9 professional teams. The name of the league has changed many times, but is being sponsored by Dansk Metal and therefore got the name Metalligaen. History It is also known as Superisligaen or Eliteserien, which is the name used in the past and in times where no naming rights agreement is in place. Rødovre Mighty Bulls
The Rødovre Mighty Bulls is a Danish professional ice hockey team based in Rødovre, Denmark, playing in the Metal Ligaen, the top tier of Danish ice hockey. The club was founded in 1961 and play their home games in the Rødovre Skøjte Arena which has a capacity of 3,600 spectators. The club has won the Danish championship 6 times in 1978, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1990 and 1999. From 1977 to 1979, the team was coached by Boris Kulagin, the former coach of the Soviet national ice hockey team. Kulagin joined the Danish team after getting fired as head coach of the Soviet national team following a disappointing 3rd-place finish at the 1977 World Ice Hockey Championships. The Esbjerg Energy is a Denmark, Danish professional ice hockey team based in Esbjerg, Denmark, playing in the Metal Ligaen, the top tier of Danish ice hockey. SønderjyskE (Ice hockey) is a professional ice hockey team playing in the top Danish ice hockey league Metal Ligaen. Aalborg Pirates is a professional ice hockey team (previously known as Aalborg Ishockey and AaB Ice Hockey) playing in the Danish ice hockey league, Metal Ligaen. Rungsted Ishockey Klub is a Danish ice hockey club from Rungsted. The elite team is called ''Rungsted Seier Capital''. History The club was founded in 1941. Nordsjælland Cobras The Nordsjælland Cobras was the elite team for Rungsted Ishockey Klub and played in the top Danish ice hockey league AL-Bank Ligaen.
