2014–15 New Orleans Privateers Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 New Orleans Privateers men's basketball team represented the University of New Orleans during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Privateers were led by fourth year head coach Mark Slessinger and played their home games at Lakefront Arena. They were new members of the Southland Conference. The Privateers were picked to finish ninth (9th) in both the Southland Conference Coaches' Poll and the Sports Information Directors Poll. The team finished the season with an 11–18 overall record including a record of 1–1 in the 2015 Southland Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The Privateers finished conference play tied for tenth place with a final record of 6–12. Mark Slessinger
Mark Edward Slessinger (born May 2, 1974) is an American college basketball coach who is the current men's basketball head coach at the University of New Orleans. Under Slessinger, New Orleans has over 160 wins, with two Southland Conference titles and went to the NCAA Tournament twice since his first year in 2011. Early life and education Born in Bloomington, Indiana, Slessinger grew up in nearby Ellettsville and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1992. Slessinger attended Aurora University, where he played both basketball (three seasons) and soccer (four seasons) before graduating with a bachelor's degree in physical education in 1996. Coaching career Early coaching career (1995–2011) While completing his college degree, Slessinger was an assistant coach for Aurora in 1995–96. West Brook Senior High School is a high school in the city of Beaumont, Texas. It is operated by the Beaumont Independent School District and was formed in 1982 as a court-ordered measure to integrate the schools of the formerly separate South Park Independent School District. West Brook is located at 8750 Phelan Boulevard. The school's official mascot is the Bruin Bear. Metairie Park Country Day School is a private, nondenominational, co-educational college preparatory school preparatory day school in Metairie, Louisiana, with classes in grades Pre-Kindergarten– 12. Plaquemine, Louisiana
Plaquemine is a city in and the parish seat of Iberville Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is part of the Baton Rouge metropolitan statistical area.
