2014–15 Marist Red Foxes Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Marist Red Foxes men's basketball team represented Marist College during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Red Foxes, led by first year head coach Mike Maker, played their home games at the McCann Arena and were members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 7–25, 5–15 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for tenth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the MAAC tournament where they lost to Manhattan. Previous season The Red Foxes finished the 2013–14 season 12–19, 9–11 in MAAC play to finish in a three way tie for sixth place. They lost in the first round of the MAAC tournament where they lost to Niagara. Following the season, head coach Jeff Bower resigned to take the General manager position with the Detroit Pistons. Mike Maker (basketball)
Michael Jon Maker (born November 9, 1965) is the former head coach of Marist College men's basketball. Biography Coaching career After a playing career at California Baptist University, Maker joined the staff of his alma mater as an assistant and junior varsity head coach, a position he held for two seasons. In 1990, he spent one season as the head women's basketball coach at Hartnell College before moving on to Dartmouth, where he served as an assistant from 1991 to 2002. Maker also had stops at Samford, West Virginia, and Creighton as an assistant before landing the men's head coaching job at Division III Williams College. In his six seasons at Williams, Maker guided the Ephs to a 147–32 record (.821 winning percentage), and three Final Four appearances, including the title game in 2010 and 2014. Sanford School
The Sanford School is a private school for co-ed students in PreK through high school, located in Hockessin, Delaware. Originally known as "Sunny Hills School", it was founded on September 23, 1930, by Sanford and Ellen Sawin, in memory of their eldest son Sanford Sawin, Jr. The school's name was changed to Sanford in 1966, 50 years after his death. Xaverian High School is a private Catholic high school located in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, serving grades 6 through 12. Grades 9-12 offer a college prep program and grades 6-8 are a middle school. History The school was founded in 1957 by the Xaverian Brothers.
