David Haigh
David Lawrence Haigh is a British human rights lawyer and international crisis and media manager. Haigh is the former managing director of Leeds United Football Club and Chairman of Leeds United Ladies Football Club, he was the first openly LGBTQ managing director of an English football club. He is the chief executive officer and founder of the Sport Capital Group, a financier of Leeds United Football Club. Haigh was convicted of fraud charges in Dubai and spent 22-months in prison, where he claims he was tortured and raped. He denies all allegations and claims he was set up. Simon Grayson
Simon Nicholas Grayson (born 16 December 1969) is an English professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of Indian Super League club Bengaluru. As a player, he was a right back, but he was also utilised in midfield in a career that lasted from 1988 until 2006. Having started his career with Leeds United he played in the Premier League for Leicester City, Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers, before moving into the Football League with Sheffield Wednesday, Stockport County, Notts County, Bradford City and Blackpool. He won promotion twice with Leicester City, both via the playoffs, in 1993–94 and 1995–96, and followed it up with a League Cup win in 1996–97. Steve Thompson (footballer, Born 1964)
Steven James Thompson (born 2 November 1964) is an English retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is the Head of Recruitment and acting caretaker manager for Vanarama National League side Oldham Athletic. Playing career Thompson started his playing career as an apprentice at Bolton Wanderers before signing his first contract in 1982, and was at the club until 1991 playing in a total of 410 games, and scoring 57 goals in all competitions. He played on the winning side at Wembley in 1989 in the Football League Trophy final. On 13 August 1991, he signed for Luton Town for £180,000. However, his stay with ''the Hatters'' was short-lived, he made just five league appearances before moving to Leicester City two months later on 22 October where he played in 121 league games scoring six goals. Jock Stein
John "Jock" Stein (5 October 1922 – 10 September 1985) was a Scottish football player and manager. He was the first manager of a British side to win the European Cup, with Celtic in 1967. Stein also guided Celtic to nine successive Scottish League championships between 1966 and 1974. Stein worked as a coalminer while playing football part-time for Blantyre Victoria and then Albion Rovers. He became a full-time professional football player with Welsh club Llanelli Town, but returned to Scotland with Celtic in 1951. He enjoyed some success with Celtic, winning the Coronation Cup in 1953 and a Scottish league and Scottish Cup double in 1954. Ankle injuries forced Stein to retire from playing football in 1957. Celtic appointed Stein to coach their reserve team after he retired as a player. Brian Clough
Brian Howard Clough ( ; 21 March 1935 – 20 September 2004) was an English football player and manager, primarily known for his successes as a manager with Derby County and Nottingham Forest. He is one of four managers to have won the English league with two different clubs. Clough played as a striker for Middlesbrough and Sunderland, scoring 251 league goals in 274 matches; he remains one of the Football League's highest goalscorers. He won two England caps. He entered management after his playing career was ended by a serious injury at the age of 29. Blackpool is a seaside resort in Lancashire, England. Located on the northwest coast of England, it is the main settlement within the borough also called Blackpool. Mathieu James Patrick Smith (born 7 June 1989) is an English professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker for club Salford City F.C., Salford City. Career Early years Smith spent a year as a trainee at Cheltenham Town F.C., Cheltenham Town, before being released at the age of 18. He then moved into non-league football with New Mills A.F.C., New Mills, whilst studying at the University of Manchester. He made his debut for New Mills in the North West Counties Football League, North West Counties Premier League as a substitute against Silsden in October 2008, scoring in a 2–0 win. Ross McCormack
Ross McCormack (born 18 August 1986) is a Scottish professional footballer who most recently played as a striker for Aldershot Town. McCormack started his career with Scottish Premier League club Rangers in 2002, where he made few appearances and was loaned to English League One side Doncaster Rovers in January 2006. At the end of the season he was released by Rangers and joined fellow SPL side Motherwell. Although his first season was disrupted by a long illness, he became a regular player and scorer in his second season there. In 2008 McCormack joined Championship club Cardiff City upon the expiry of his contract. In 2010, he moved to Leeds United for a fee of around £350,000, eventually becoming their captain.
