2014–15 Iowa State Cyclones Women's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Iowa State Cyclones women's basketball team represented Iowa State University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. This was head coach Bill Fennelly's 20th season at Iowa State. The Cyclones were members of the Big 12 Conference and played their home games at the Hilton Coliseum. They finished the season 18–13, 9–9 in Big 12 play for a four way tie to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 women's tournament to Oklahoma State. They received at-large bid of the NCAA women's basketball tournament where they lost to Dayton in the first round. Radio All Cyclones games were carried on the Iowa State Cyclone Radio Network. Bill Fennelly
William Michael Fennelly (born May 14, 1957) is an American basketball coach who is currently the head women's basketball coach at Iowa State University. Coaching career Assistant coach (1977–1986) While a student at William Penn College, Fennelly became a volunteer assistant coach with the William Penn women's basketball team in 1977. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics in 1979, Fennelly became a full-time assistant coach with William Penn. Fennelly moved up to the Division I level as an assistant coach at Fresno State from 1981 to 1986 and Notre Dame from 1986 to 1988. Toledo (1988–1995) At the University of Toledo, Fennelly was head coach from 1988 to 1995 and had a cumulative record of 166–53, with a .758 winning percentage that remains the best in the Mid-American Conference. Waterloo West High School
Waterloo West High School is one of three public high schools under the auspices of the Waterloo Community School District in Waterloo, Iowa. The school is located at the intersection of E. Ridgeway Ave. and Baltimore Ave. Mascot The school mascot is Westy the Wahawk. The name "Wahawk" is a portmanteau of the city name ( Waterloo) and the county name ( Black Hawk). Much controversy has surrounded the mascot, which was once an Indian chief thought to be politically incorrect. It was later changed to a flying eagle flying through a flaming hoop but was changed back after 3 years. The logo is currently the "Flying W," a capital "W" with a feather hanging off of it. Kuemper Catholic School System is a private, Roman Catholic PK-12 school in Carroll, Iowa. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sioux City. Carroll, Iowa
Carroll is a city in, and the county seat of, Carroll County, Iowa, United States, along the Middle Raccoon River. The population was 10,321 in the 2020 census. History Carroll was laid out in 1867. It took its name from Carroll County, which was named in honor of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, Maryland. He was the only Roman Catholic to sign the Declaration of Independence. In 1869, the centrally located railroad town of Carroll City was selected as the county seat, replacing, with some protest, Carrollton. Later a $4,000 courthouse was constructed on the town square.
