2014–15 Green Bay Phoenix Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was fifth year coach Brian Wardle. The Phoenix played their home games at the Resch Center and were members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 24–9, 12–4 in Horizon League play to finish in second place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Horizon League tournament where they lost to Valparaiso. They were invited to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Illinois State. Keifer Sykes was named the Horizon League Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Jordan Fouse won conference All-Defensive team honors. Brian Wardle (basketball)
Brian Wardle (born October 9, 1979) is an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball coach at Bradley University. Biography Born in Clarendon Hills, Illinois, Wardle played for Marquette from 1997–2001, ending his career as the third-leading scorer in school history. As a senior, he averaged 18.8 points per game. After college, Wardle played in the NBA Developmental League and the Continental Basketball Association. He was director of basketball operations at Marquette from 2003–2005 and an assistant coach at UW-Green Bay from 2005–2010. After the 2009-2010 season, Wardle was named head coach at UW-Green Bay. Upon his hiring, Wardle became the youngest head coach in NCAA Division I basketball. Kohl Center
The Kohl Center is an arena and athletic center at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, United States. The building, which opened in 1998, is the home of the university's men's basketball and ice hockey teams, and the women's basketball team. It also housed the university's women's ice hockey team through 2012, after which they moved into the adjacent LaBahn Arena. Seating capacity is variable, as the center can be rearranged to accommodate a basketball court, a hockey rink, or a concert. The 2014–15 Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was Bo Ryan's 14th and final full season as head coach at Wisconsin. The team played their home games at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin and were members of the Big Ten Conference.They finished the season 36–4, 16–2 in Big Ten play to win the Big Ten regular season championship. They defeated Michigan, Purdue, and Michigan State to win the Big Ten tournament and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. This marked the Badgers' 17th straight trip to the Tournament. The Ripon Red Hawks are the athletic teams of Ripon College. A total of 21 Red Hawks athletic teams compete in NCAA Division III.
