The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Wang Shangyuan (; ; born 2 June 1993) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Henan Songshan Longmen. Early career De Sutter started his football activities at his local team KVV Balegem, where he was discovered by third division side Standaard Wetteren.
