The 2014–15 CWHL season was the eighth in league history. The Boston Blades captured the 2015 Clarkson Cup in a 3-2 overtime win against the Montreal Stars. 2015 Clarkson Cup
The 2015 Clarkson Cup was a women's ice hockey tournament that was contested in Markham, Ontario to determine the champion of the Canadian Women's Hockey League from March 4 to March 7, 2014. The Boston Blades defeated the Montreal Stars by a 3-2 tally in overtime to claim their second title. The tournament was played at Markham Centennial Centre. The overtime-winning goal was scored by Janine Weber, who became the first European player to score a Cup-winning goal. Weber's stick that she used to score the Cup-winning goal was donated to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Air Canada Centre
Scotiabank Arena ( French: ''Aréna Scotiabank)'', formerly known as Air Canada Centre (ACC), is a multi-purposed arena located on Bay Street in the South Core district of Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the home of the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). Jessica Campbell
Jessica Campbell (October 30, 1982 – December 29, 2020) was an American actress and a naturopathic physician. Tara Watchorn
Tara Leigh-Anne Watchorn (born May 30, 1990) is a Canadian women's ice hockey player who has competed for the Canadian national women's ice hockey team. She made her debut for Team Canada in the 2010 Four Nations Cup and played for Canada most recently at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She chose to withdraw from playing in the 2018 Olympics, however a future comeback is still possible. Watchorn was born in Ajax, Ontario, but grew up in Newcastle, Ontario. Playing career Watchorn competed for the Durham West Jr. Lightning in Ontario. She won silver in the PWHL tournament in her junior year and bronze as a sophomore. Angela James Bowl
The Angela James Bowl was a women's ice hockey trophy introduced in 2007-08 to recognize the top points scorer in the newly formed Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). The trophy was donated in order to help preserve the statistical history of the new league and to help tell the story of women's ice hockey at the club level. The trophy was named in honour of Angela James, a former women's hockey standout who played in the old Central Ontario Women’s Hockey League and National Women's Hockey League. On March 22, 2008, Ms. James was on hand at the first CWHL Final to present the Angela James Bowl to CWHL's first scoring champion, Jennifer Botterill. Calgary Inferno
The Calgary Inferno (previously known as Team Alberta, nickname "Honeybadgers", during the 2011–12 season) was a women's ice hockey team that joined the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) for the 2011–12 season. The team played its home games at Joan Snyder Rink (Arena B) at WinSport Canada in Calgary, Alberta. After two seasons without an official name, in 2013 the team picked a moniker drawing from Calgary's National Hockey League franchise, the Calgary Flames, with whom they had a partnership. For the 2013-14 it was announced that all Inferno home-games will be streamed live by PCSN.tv. Rebecca Johnston
Rebecca Anne Johnston (born September 24, 1989) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player for the Calgary section of the PWHPA and, since 2007, the Canadian national team. She played four seasons at Cornell University and was selected second overall in the 2012 CWHL Draft by the Calgary Inferno. As of 2022 she has three Winter Olympic gold medals and one silver, and two world championship titles. Mallory Deluce (born April 13, 1989) is a Canadian ice hockey forward for the Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey The Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey team is the hockey team that represents the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Brianna Decker
Brianna Decker (born May 13, 1991) is an American women's ice hockey player who plays for the Calgary section of the PWHPA and the United States women's national ice hockey team. She won the 2012 Patty Kazmaier Award while playing for the University of Wisconsin, recognizing the best female ice hockey player in NCAA Division I play. With the Boston Pride, Decker would score the first hat trick in NWHL history on October 25, 2015. Jamie Lee Rattray (born September 30, 1992) is a Canadian women's ice hockey player for the Markham Thunder. Life As a member of the gold medal-winning squad at the 2010 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship, a hockey card of her was featured in the Upper Deck 2010 World of Sports card series. While in college, she played for the Clarkson Golden Knights. In 2014, she won the Patty Kazmaier Award and helped Clarkson win their first NCAA women's hockey championship.
