2014–15 Army Black Knights Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Army Black Knights men's basketball team represented the United States Military Academy during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Black Knights, led by sixth year head coach Zach Spiker, played their home games at Christl Arena and were members of the Patriot League. They finished the season 15–15, 6–12 in Patriot League play to finish in last place. Zach Spiker
Zachary John Spiker (born September 30, 1976) is an American college basketball coach and the current head basketball coach for the Drexel Dragons men's basketball, Drexel Dragons. A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, Spiker played college basketball at Ithaca College. He was previously the head coach at Army Black Knights men's basketball, Army. He attended The Hill School. In the 2012–13 Army Black Knights men's basketball team, 2012–13 season, Spiker lead Army to its first overall winning record since 1984–85 (a drought of 28 years), and also the Black Knights' first ever winning record in the Patriot League. For his efforts, Spiker was named 2012-13 Patriot League Coach of the Year, the first Army head coach in eleven years to win the award. Spiker has joined Bob Knight and Mike Krzyzewski as the only coaches in Army history to win at least 65 games in their first five seasons. The 2014–15 Air Force Falcons men's basketball team represented the United States Air Force Academy during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Falcons, led by third head coach Dave Pilipovich, played their home games at the Clune Arena on the Air Force Academy's main campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado and were a member of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 14–17, 6–12 in Mountain West play to finish in ninth place. They defeated New Mexico to advance to the quarterfinals of the Mountain West tournament where they lost to Boise State.
