The 2014 Winter Paralympics medal table is a list of National Paralympic Committees ranked by the number of medals won during the 2014 Winter Paralympics, which were held in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 16 March. Athletes from 45 nations participated in 72 events in five sports. The Russian team became the leader of the medal count, effectively collecting 37% of all medals. However, following the Games, the IPC discovered evidence that Russia's performance has been aided by a wider state-sponsored doping program. 2010 Winter Paralympics Medal Table
The 2010 Winter Paralympics, officially known as the X Paralympic Winter Games, were held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from March 12 to March 21, 2010. A total of 506 athletes from 44 nations participated in 64 events from five different sport disciplines. Athletes from 21 countries won at least one medal, 15 of them winning at least one gold medal. For the second consecutive Winter Games, Russia won the most medals in total, with 38. Germany collected the most gold medals, with 13. The most individual gold medals were won by Canadian Lauren Woolstencroft, who secured five in alpine skiing, and German Verena Bentele, with two in biathlon and three in cross-country skiing. An all-time medal table for all Paralympic Games from 1960 to 2020. The International Paralympic Committee does not publish all-time tables, and publishes unofficial tables only per single Games. This table was thus compiled by adding up single entries from the IPC database. This medal table also includes the medals won on the 1992 Summer Paralympics for Intellectualy Disabled, held in Madrid, which also organized by the International Coordination Committee (ICC) and same Organizing Committee (COOB'92) that made the gestion of the 1992 Summer Paralympics held in Barcelona and also part of same event. Doping In Russia
Systematic doping of Russian athletes has resulted in 48 Olympic medals stripped from Russia (and Russian associated teams), four times the number of the next highest, and more than 30% of the global total. Russia has the most competitors who have been caught doping at the Olympic Games in the world, with more than 150. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC; german: Internationales Paralympisches Komitee) is an international non-profit organisation and the global governing body for the Paralympic Movement. The IPC organizes the Paralympic Games and functions as the international federation for nine sports. List Of IOC Country Codes
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) uses three-letter abbreviation country codes to refer to each group of athletes that participate in the Olympic Games.
