2014 Washington Huskies Football Team
The 2014 Washington Huskies football team represented the University of Washington in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Their head coach was Chris Petersen, in his first year at UW after eight seasons as head coach at Boise State. Washington was a member of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference and the Huskies played their home games on campus at Husky Stadium, in the University District of Seattle. They finished the season 8–6, 4–5 in Pac-12 play to finish in third place in the North Division. They were invited to the Cactus Bowl where they lost to Oklahoma State. Chris Petersen
Christopher Scott Petersen (born October 13, 1964) is a former American football coach who was most recently the head coach at the University of Washington. Previously the head coach for eight seasons at Boise State University, Petersen guided the Broncos to two BCS bowl wins: the (2006 Season) 2007 and (2009 Season) 2010 Fiesta Bowls. He is the first two-time winner of the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award, which he won in 2006 and 2009. Petersen also won the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award in 2010. At Washington, Petersen led the Huskies to the College Football Playoff in 2016, but fell to Alabama in the Peach Bowl. The Washington Huskies football team represents the University of Washington in college football. Washington competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the Pac-12 Conference. Husky Stadium, located on campus, has served as the home field for Washington since 1920. An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach. Keith Price (born June 28, 1991) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Washington, where he was the starting quarterback from 2011 to 2013. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. Bishop Sankey (born September 15, 1992) is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Sankey played college football at Washington. After starting 12 games over two seasons with the Titans, Sankey then had stints with the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings over the next two seasons without seeing any game action. After a year away from football, Sankey saw game action again playing for the San Diego Fleet of the short-lived Alliance of American Football in 2019. 2013 BYU Cougars Football Team
The 2013 BYU Cougars football team represented Brigham Young University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season.
