The 2014 Southeastern Louisiana Lions football team represented Southeastern Louisiana University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Lions were led by third-year head coach Ron Roberts and played their home games at Strawberry Stadium. They are a member of the Southland Conference. Ron Roberts (American Football)
Ron Roberts (born October 9, 1967) is an American football coach who currently serves as defensive coordinator at Auburn University. Coaching career Assistant coaching career Roberts started his coaching career as the defensive coordinator at Houston High School in 1990. From Houston, Roberts served as head coach at Burroughs High School from 1994 to 1996 before taking his first college job at Greensboro in 1997. From Greensboro he served as defensive coordinator at both Tusculum (1998–2002) and Texas State (2003) before returning to the head coaching ranks at Mt. Whitney High School in 2004. In January 2005 Roberts resigned his position at Mt. Homer Bryce Stadium, located in Nacogdoches, Texas, is the home of Stephen F. Austin State University's Lumberjack football and Ladyjack and Lumberjack track and field events. Provost Umphrey Stadium (previously Cardinal Stadium) is a 16,000-seat multi-purpose stadium located on the campus of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. The stadium, home to the Lamar Cardinals football team, is located next to the Montagne Center. While primarily used for football, Provost Umphrey Stadium is also a concert venue with seating up to 20,000 for concerts.
