Saudi Super Cup
The Saudi Super Cup ( ar, كأس السوبر السعودي) is an annual super cup football match organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. Founded in 2013 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2022–23 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the King Cup and Pro League. The competition was held the week before the season begins in Saudi Arabia from 2013 until 2018. Since the 2019 edition it has been held mid-season. The current holders are Al-Hilal, who won 2–2 (4–3 on penalties) against Al-Faisaly in the 2021 edition. The most successful teams in the competition are Al-Hilal, who have each won the trophy three times. Hussein Omar Abdulghani Sulaimani ( ar, حسين عمر عبد الغني سليماني; born 21 January 1977) is a Saudi Arabian former professional footballer who played as a left-back in the Saudi Professional League. Club career Al-Ahli Abdulghani began his career at Al-Ahli joining the youth team in 1992. He originally started his career as a forward but he was moved to full-back, the position he would mainly play, by Amin Dabo the youth team manager at the time. Abdulghani made his Al-Ahli debut on 26 September 1995 in a Federation Cup tie with Al-Qadsiah. The match ended in a 2–1 loss. On 25 November 1995, Abdulghani made his league in the derby match against Al-Ittihad that ended in a 2–1 win. Mbaye Diagne (born 28 October 1991) is a Senegalese professional footballer who played as a striker for Fatih Karagümrük.
