2014 Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom Season
The 2014 Courier Connections Renault UK Clio Cup was a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England and one event in Scotland. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in the new Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo EDC that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centerpiece after signing a three year extension to be on the package until the end of 2016. It was the 19th Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season, commencing on 30 March at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and concluded on 12 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after sixteen races held at eight meetings, all in support of the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season. Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom
The Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom was an entry level One-make, Touring car racing motor sport category and the current name in the long history of Renault one-make cups in the UK. It currently attracts drivers from across the United Kingdom to compete along with several drivers for European countries. The championship has been run to various regulations over the years, and can trace its history back to 1974. Several former drivers have become successful in other Touring car racing formulae, including Andy Priaulx, who went on to become multiple World Touring Car Championship champion and Jason Plato who is multiple British Touring Car Championship champion. The championship currently runs on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship. Rockingham Motor Speedway is a former racing motorsport venue in Rockingham, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom, near the town of Corby. It hosted professional and club races, as well as testing, track days, driver training, exhibitions and conferences. It claimed to be Europe's fastest racing circuit, and was the first banked oval constructed in Britain since the closure of Brooklands in 1939. 2010 Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom Season
The 2010 Elf Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom with Michelin season began at Thruxton on 4 April and will finish after 20 races over 10 events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. Fifteen drivers from seven teams will take part throughout the season, mainly supporting rounds of the British Touring Car Championship but also supporting the UK round of the World Series by Renault. Teams and drivers Two classes have been introduced for the 2010 season: *All drivers under 23 are eligible for the Graduate Cup, with the class champion earning 25% off a registration fee for the 2011 season. *All drivers over 35 are eligible for the Masters Cup. Mark Howard (born 9 January 1965) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2016, after winning the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom Masters title in 2015. Racing career Howard began his career in the Renault 5 ELF Turbo UK Cup, which he won in 1993. He then had an 18-year hiatus from racing until 2011 when he returned to racing in the Volkswagen Racing Cup. He went on to finish 9th in the championship standings that season. He switched to the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom championship in 2014, he finished 12th in the championship that year. Anthony Whorton-Eales (born 21 May 1994 in Lichfield) is a British racing driver who will make the move into BriSCA F1 for 2023. He previously won the Mini Challenge UK championship in 2018, Renault Clio Cup UK championship in 2016 and the BriSCA F1 Under 25s Championship in 2016. Ashley Joseph Hand (born 24 April 1994 in Nuneaton) is a British racing driver who competed in the 2022 British Touring Car Championship with CarStore Power Maxed Racing. He was the GT4 champion of the 2019 British GT Championship, driving with Tom Canning. Career Karting Hand started karting in 2008, at the age of 13, and over a 5 year career he won various titles in the Rotax Junior and Rotax Max categories.
