The 2014 Pro Golf Tour was the 18th season of the Pro Golf Tour (formerly the EPD Tour), a third-tier tour recognised by the European Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2014 season. Order of Merit The Order of Merit was based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top four players on the Order of Merit (not otherwise exempt) earned status to play on the 2015 Challenge Tour. 2015 Challenge Tour
The 2015 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2015 season. Challenge Tour Rankings ''For full rankings, see 2015 Challenge Tour graduates.'' The rankings were titled as the Road to Oman and were based on prize money won during the season, calculated in Euros. The top 15 players on the tour earned status to play on the 2016 European Tour. Floris Jan Willem de Vries (born 18 August 1989) is a Dutch professional golfer. Career De Vries was born in Rheden and turned professional in 2009 having had a successful amateur career. He qualified for the Challenge Tour by finishing in the top five of the rankings on the EPD Tour, one of Europe's third tier development tours, in 2009. In his rookie season on the Challenge Tour De Vries won the Mugello Tuscany Open, defeating Thorbjørn Olesen in a sudden-death playoff. He ended the season in 4th place on the Challenge Tour Rankings to graduate to the top level European Tour for 2011.
