2014 Plus Fitness Phillip Island 400
The 2014 Plus Fitness Phillip Island 400 was a motor race meeting for the Australian sedan-based V8 Supercars. It was the thirteenth and penultimate event of the 2014 International V8 Supercars Championship. It was held on the weekend of 14–16 November at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, at Phillip Island, Victoria, Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia, Victoria. It was a horrible start to the weekend for Kiwis Shane van Gisbergen and Fabian Coulthard as they came together after turn 1 at the start Race 33 Qualifying. The 2013 International V8 Supercars Championship (often simplified to the 2013 V8 Supercars Championship) was a Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile-sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars that was based in Australia. The 2014 Sydney NRMA 500 was a motor race for V8 Supercars held on 5 to 7 December 2014. The event was held at the Homebush Street Circuit in Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales, and was scheduled to consist of two races of 125 kilometres and one race of 250 kilometres in length. It was the final race of the 2014 International V8 Supercars Championship, and marked the series return of 2003 and 2004 Champion Marcos Ambrose. The 2014 Castrol Edge Gold Coast 600 was a motor race for V8 Supercars. It was the twelfth event of the 2014 International V8 Supercars Championship, held from 24–26 October at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Garth Tander (born 31 March 1977) is a multiple-championship winning Australian motor racing driver competing in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship's Enduro Cup, co-driving the No. 97 Holden ZB Commodore for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He was the 2007 series champion for the HSV Dealer Team and is a five-time winner in Australia's most prestigious motor race, the Bathurst 1000. Tander also owns a motor racing team TanderSport. David Wall (born 1 January 1983) is an Australian racing driver competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship. He currently drives the No. 38 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup for Wall Racing. Craig Andrew Lowndes (born 21 June 1974) is an Australian racing driver in the Repco Supercars Championship competing in the Holden ZB Commodore for Triple Eight Race Engineering.
