2014 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2014 Munster Senior Football Championship was that year's installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of Munster GAA. It was one of the four provincial competitions of the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Kerry entered the competition as defending Munster champions. In September 2013, it was announced that the Munster Championship would become a seeded competition for 2014. This allowed footballing powerhouses Cork and Kerry to avoid each other until the final - where they duly met, Kerry emerging victorious and proceeding to an All-Ireland Final against Donegal. Munster Senior Football Championship
The Munster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Munster Championship and shortened to Munster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year, bar one, since the 1888 championship. The final, currently held on the fourth Saturday in June, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during May and June, and the results determine which team receives the Munster Cup. The Cork county football team represents Cork in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Cork GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The 2009 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the inter-county Gaelic football tournament played between 31 counties of Ireland, London and New York. The draw for the 2009 championship took place on 9 October 2008. The tournament began on 10 May 2009. 2013–14 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The 2013–14 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 44th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970-71. The championship began on 20 October 2013 and ended on 17 March 2014. St. Brigid's entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Castlebar Mitchels in the Connacht Club Championship. On 17 March 2014, St. Vincent's won the championship following a 4-12 to 2-11 defeat of Castlebar Mitchels in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park. Colm Cooper
Colm "the Gooch" Cooper (born 3 June 1983) is an Irish Gaelic footballer whose league and championship career at senior level with the Kerry county team spanned fifteen years from 2002 to 2017. Born in Killarney, County Kerry, Cooper was born into a strong Gaelic football family. His father, Mike Cooper, had a strong involvement with the Dr Crokes club, serving as a minor and junior selector. Colm's nephew Mark was a part of the 2018 All Ireland winning Kerry Minor team, a competition he himself never won. Cooper played competitive Gaelic football as a student at St Brendan's College; however, his tenure coincided with a downturn in fortunes for the college. Kieran O'Leary (born 28 July 1987) is an Irish Gaelic footballer. He plays at U21 and senior levels with the Dr Crokes club team and the Kerry county team. Fionn Fitzgerald (born 27 April 1990) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a left corner-back with the Kerry senior team. Born in Killarney, County Kerry, Fitzgerald first played competitive Gaelic football during his schooling at St. Brendan's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kerry minor team. He made his senior debut during the 2013 National Football League. Éamonn Fitzmaurice (born 1977) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. He played at senior level for the Kerry county team and later managed it between 2012 and 2018, during which time he became a member of an exclusive club of people to have won All-Ireland SFC titles as a player and as a manager. The 2012 Munster Senior Football Championship was that year's installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of the Munster GAA. It was won by Cork who defeated Clare in the final. It was Cork's 37th title. This was Clare's first appearance in the final since 2000. The 2010 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 124th edition of the GAA's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament, played between 31 of the 32 counties of Ireland plus London and New York.
