2014 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters – Singles
Stan Wawrinka defeated Roger Federer in the final, 4–6, 7–6(7–5), 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2014 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title. It was Federer's fourth runner-up finish at the Monte-Carlo Masters (following defeats to Rafael Nadal in 2006, 2007, and 2008), and his career-best finish at the event. Stan Wawrinka
Stanislas "Stan" Wawrinka (; born 28 March 1985) is a Swiss professional tennis player. He reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles ranking of world No. 3 for the first time on 27 January 2014. His career highlights include three Grand Slam titles, those being the 2014 Australian Open, 2015 French Open and 2016 US Open, where he defeated the world No. 1 player in the final on all three occasions. Tomás Robredo Garcés, known as Tommy Robredo (, ; born 1 May 1982), is a Spanish former professional tennis player. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 5, which he reached in August 2006 as a result of winning the Hamburg Masters earlier in the year. Robredo reached the quarterfinals at seven singles major tournaments. He was also a three-time semifinalist at the US Open men's doubles tournament, and a semifinalist at the Australian Open in mixed doubles.
