2014 Men's EuroHockey Indoor Championship
The 2014 Men's EuroHockey Indoor Championship was the seventeenth edition of the Men's EuroHockey Indoor Championship, the biennial international men's indoor hockey championship of Europe, organised by the European Hockey Federation. It took place from 17 to 19 January 2014 in Vienna, Austria. Defending champions, Germany, won their 14th title by defeating Austria 4–3 on penalties, after the final finished 5–5. Darren Cheesman (born 23 February 1986 in Hackney, London) is an ex-England and Great Britain Hockey field hockey International who is now a High Performance Coach for England Hockey and FIH, as well as a Coach Educator for FIH. Life As well as previously being a member of the England and Great Britain Hockey Teams, he was also a member of the Great Britain U21 team that won Silver Medal at the 2007 Junior Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. The Midfielder / Forward plays club hockey at Southgate, after spells at Reading, East Grinstead and Old Loughtonians. Samuel Ian Ward (born 24 December 1990), known as Sam Ward, is an English field hockey player who plays as a forward for Old Georgians and the England and Great Britain national teams. Club career Ward plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Old Georgians. He has also played club hockey for Beeston (3 spells), Holcombe, Loughborough Students and Leicester.
