2014 MLL Season
The 2014 Major League Lacrosse season was the 14th season of the league. The season began on April 26, 2014 and concluded on August 23, 2014 with the Denver Outlaws beating the Rochester Rattlers to win the franchise's first Steinfeld Cup. Milestones and events *January 10, 2014- The Collegiate Draft took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (in conjunction with the 2014 US Lacrosse National Convention). Major League Lacrosse
Major League Lacrosse (MLL) was a men's field lacrosse league in the United States. The league's inaugural season was in 2001. Teams played anywhere from ten to 16 games in a summertime regular season. This was followed by a four-team playoff for the championship trophy, the Steinfeld Trophy, named after founder Jake Steinfeld. League attendance peaked at 6,417 in 2011 and the 2019 average was 4,587. The Chesapeake Bayhawks and New York Lizards (originally the Baltimore Bayhawks and Long Island Lizards) were MLL members throughout its existence and competed in the first three championship games, with the Lizards winning two. The Boston Cannons, the last of the six charter franchises to remain in their original market with their original name, won their first championship in 2011. Paul Rabil
Paul Rabil (born December 14, 1985), is an American former professional lacrosse player and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League. He played for the Cannons Lacrosse Club and Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, as well as the Boston Cannons and the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse and the San Jose/Washington Stealth and Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. Youth Rabil was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He started playing lacrosse at the age of 12. He attended Watkins Mill High School in Montgomery Village, Maryland, then went on to graduate from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. Greg Gurenlian
Greg Gurenlian (March 23, 1984) is a former professional field lacrosse player from Springfield, Pennsylvania of Armenian descent. He retired as a member of Redwoods Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League. He is the founder of The Face-off Academy, a place where young players are trained in faceoffs. He is also the owner of his YouTube page, called GregGurenlian. He is the only faceoff specialist to win the MVP in the MLL. Joel McCoun White (December 21, 1930 – December 5, 1997) was an American naval architect. Early life and education Born in Manhattan, White was the son of the writer E. B. White and his wife Katharine Sergeant Angell White, fiction editor of ''The New Yorker''. He was the son with whom E. B. Michael Norman Manley (10 December 1924 – 6 March 1997) was a Jamaican politician who served as the fourth Prime Minister of Jamaica from 1972 to 1980 and from 1989 to 1992.
