2014 IFAF U-19 World Championship
The 2014 IFAF U19 World Championship was the third edition of the IFAF U19 World Championship, an international American football tournament for junior teams (19 years and under, or high school football-aged in the United States). It was hosted by Kuwait from July 7 to July 16, with four games each day of the 7th, 10th, 13th, and two medal games each on the 15th and 16th. The teams participating were Canada, reigning champion; Austria, France and Germany, which won qualification at the 2013 European Junior Championship; Kuwait, as host, in their first time in the tournament; Japan, as Asia's participant; USA representing the Americas; and Mexico, which classified by beating Panama. 2012 IFAF U-19 World Championship
The 2012 IFAF U-19 World Championship took place in 2012 at Austin, Texas. These championship match the world’s eight best high school-aged (19 and under) national American football teams from five continents shall be played at 12,000-capacity Burger Stadium in Austin Texas, a football and soccer venue. The action began on Saturday, June 30 and ran through Saturday, July 8. To win the Gold Medal #2 ranked Canada had to defeat #7 Sweden, #3 Japan and finally #1 USA in the Championship game. The hard road to success turned in a fantastic finish to a great tournament. In doing so, Canada avenged its 50-7 loss in the 2011 IFAF World Championship (which was composed of adult competitors) and handed the U.S. national team its first ever loss in international competition. The 2016 IFAF U-19 World Championship was an international American football tournament for junior teams (19 years and under) that took place at Harbin, China from June 29 to July 10. This is the first time that China has hosted an international American football competition. Teams were split into higher and lower groups by seeding. IFAF U-19 World Cup
The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) is the international governing body of gridiron associations. The IFAF oversees the IFAF World Championship of American Football, which is held every four years. The IFAF became a provisionary member of SportAccord in 2003, and became a full SportAccord member in 2005. The organisation's head office is located in the French commune of La Courneuve, in the Île-de-France region. The Canada National Football Junior Team a.k.a. the Football Canada World Junior Team represent Canada in international gridiron football competitions. The football program is part of the football development program and is controlled by Football Canada and is recognized by the International Federation of American Football (IFAF). It is the premiere team in male development for the organization. While Football Canada is the governing body for amateur Canadian football, IFAF-sponsored games are played using American football rules. The Austrian national American football team is the official American football senior national team of Austria. Its players are mostly recruited from the Austrian Football League but a few also play in other European leagues, mostly the German Football League. The United States national U-19 American football team represents the United States in under-19 international American football competitions. The US has competed in all 5 of the IFAF Junior World Championship competitions in which they finished in First Place 2 times, Second Place 2 times, and Third Place 1 time.
