Formula 3 Brazil Open
The Formula 3 Brazil Open, also known as the F3 Brazil Open, was an annual open wheel racing event at the grand prix circuit of Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos) in São Paulo, Brazil. The inaugural meeting took place in January 2010. In 2015, the cancellation was announced due to the renovation of Interlagos, but has not been done after that. The rules and regulations are the same as used in the long-running Formula Three Sudamericana series, using Dallara chassis fitted with 260 bhp Berta engines and Pirelli tyres. The event is open to drivers of any nationality who are of Formula Three standard. There are four races during the weekend but from the final one only will the winner be crowned: the first three act as qualifying races to decide the grid for the final race. Autódromo José Carlos Pace (AKA Interlagos) Track Map
The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Autódromo de Interlagos or simply Interlagos, is a motorsport race track, circuit located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It was inaugurated on 12 May 1940, by the federal intervener of the São Paulo province, Adhemar de Barros. In 1985, the circuit was renamed to honor the Formula 1 driver Carlos Pace, José Carlos Pace, who died in a plane crash in 1977. It runs counterclockwise and is long. The facilities also include a Kart racing, kart circuit named after Ayrton Senna. The circuit has hosted the Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix since 1973, with the current contract set to expire in 2030. It previously hosted the Brazilian motorcycle Grand Prix in 1992, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft in 1996, the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010, and the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2012 to 2014. Victor Coelho Franzoni da Silva (born 5 October 1995) is a Brazilian racing driver who most recently competed in Copa Truck. Felipe "Lopes" Guimarães (born March 22, 1991, in Anápolis, Goiás) is a Brazilian racing driver. After a childhood in karting, Guimarães transitioned to the extremely competitive Formula Three Sudamericana series at the age of 16 and finished 4th in points with two victories. 2008 took him to Europe where he competed in Euroseries 3000 where he finished 9th in points. Fórmula 3 Sudamericana was a South American Formula Three championship. It was inaugurated in 1987 and primarily held races in Brazil and Argentina, with a small number of events held in other countries across the continent.
