2014 Finnish League Cup
The 2014 Finnish League Cup will be the 18th season of the Finnish League Cup, Finland's second-most prestigious cup association football, football tournament. FC Lahti are the defending champions, having won their second league cup 2013 Finnish League Cup, last year. The cup consists of two stages. First, there will be a group stage that involves the 12 2014 Veikkausliiga, Veikkausliiga teams divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will enter the one-legged elimination rounds – quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final. Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho (or SJK Seinäjoki or SJK) is a Finnish professional football club from the city of Seinäjoki. The club plays in the Veikkausliiga, the highest tier of the Finnish league system. Their home ground is OmaSP Stadion, which is located near the city center and next to SJK's training facility Wallsport. SJK was formed in 2007 after the merger of TP-Seinäjoki and Sepsi-78. History The early years SJK was formed on 5 November 2007 as a merger between the first teams of TP-Seinäjoki and Sepsi-78. It was told to the public five days later. Sepsi-78 had a board meeting on 24 October and TP-Seinäjoki on the next day. Both clubs supported the merger. Sepsi-78 and TP both gave up their place in Kakkonen. Mathias Lindström
Mathias Lindström (born 14 January 1981) is a retired Finnish footballer, who played as a central defender. He has played for FC Inter Turku, AC Allianssi, Fredrikstad FK, Tampere United and HJK Helsinki. Lindström last represented FC Inter Turku. He was a failure at Fredrikstad FK, where he was sent off in his second match and only played one minute as a substitute after that. In his career, he has played 224 games and has scored 16 goals. Tamás Gruborovics (born 3 July 1984) is a Hungarian football coach and a former player. He formerly played for MP, KuPS, FC KooTeePee and JJK Jyväskylä. Kupittaa ( sv, Kuppis) is a district in Turku, Finland. It is located on the eastern side of the city's centre, around the Kupittaa Park, the first landscaped park in a Finnish city.
