2014 European Junior Cup
The 2014 European Junior Cup was the fourth season of the European Junior Cup. It was contested over eight rounds, starting on 13 April at Motorland Aragón and ending on 5 October at Magny Cours. Spanish rider Augusto Fernández won the championship, taking four wins during the season, as well as finishing every race in the top six placings. Fernández clinched the championship with a third-place finish in the final race, taking him out of reach of compatriot Javier Orellana, who won the race – his second of the season, after Donington Park – by a tally of fifteen points. Angelo Licciardi completed the top three placings, just a point ahead of another Spanish rider, Illán Fernández. The only other riders to win races during the season were Josh Harland at Jerez and Marc Miralles, who won the opening race at Motorland Aragón. 2014 Superbike World Championship
The 2014 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-seventh season of the Superbike World Championship. The season saw the revision of the Superpole format: riders placed from eleventh to twentieth position in the combined classification of the first three practice sessions were admitted to Superpole 1, then the two fastest SP1 riders progressed to Superpole 2, which finally awarded the pole position, joining the ten fastest riders of practice. Sylvain Guintoli became the Superbike World Champion at the last race, prevailing over Tom Sykes by six points in the standings. European Superstock 600 Championship
The European Superstock 600 Championship was a support class to the Superbike World Championship at the European rounds. The championship used 600 cc production motorcycles and was reserved for riders between 15 and 24 years of age. Same rules as FIM Superstock 1000 Cup applied, but the series was organized by FIM Europe. Autodromo Enzo E Dino Ferrari
The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, better known as Imola, is a motor racing circuit in the town of Imola, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, east of Bologna. It is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction. The circuit is named after Ferrari's late founder, Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988), and his son, Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari (1932–1956). Before Enzo's death, it was called Autodromo Dino Ferrari. MotorLand Aragón (alternative Spanish name: Circuito de Alcañiz) is a race track used for motorsports located in Alcañiz, Spain. The circuit was designed by German architect Hermann Tilke in conjunction with the British architectural business Foster and Partners. Formula One driver Pedro de la Rosa was a technical and sporting consultant on the project. The facility has been designed to incorporate three main zones – a technology park, a sports area and a leisure and culture area. Vasco van der Valk (born 17 November 1999 in Amersfoort, the Netherlands) is a Dutch motorcycle road racing, road racer. He was second in the Dutch NSF100 Championship for Kids 2011, organised by former Grand Prix motorcycle racing, Grand Prix 125 rider Arie Molenaar. Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto (formerly known as Circuit of Jerez and Circuito Permanente de Jerez), is a racing circuit located close to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, south of Seville and deep within the sherry-producing region in the south of Spain. 2014 Supersport World Championship
The 2014 Supersport World Championship was the sixteenth season of the Supersport World Championship—the eighteenth taking into account the two held under the name of Supersport World Series. It was run over 11 rounds, commencing on 23 February at Phillip Island in Australia and ending on 2 November at Losail in Qatar. The riders' championship title was won for the first time by a Dutch rider, as Michael van der Mark of the Pata Honda World Supersport team won six races, and achieved ten top-two placings en route to the championship. Donington Park
Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000, and is also the venue of the Download Festival.
