2014 Dodge City Law Season
The 2014 Dodge City Law season was the team's first season as a professional indoor football franchise and only season as a member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL). One of nine teams in the CPIFL for the 2014 season, the Law were owned and operated by Ricky Bertz. United Wireless Arena
The United Wireless Arena is a multi-purpose venue in Dodge City, Kansas. The arena sits adjacent to the Boot Hill Casino and is connected to the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center. The United Wireless Arena and the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center are both managed by VenuWorks. It was originally known as the "Dodge City/Ford County Events Center" before United Wireless purchased the naming rights to the facility in 2010. The conference center is one large space (7,200 sq feet) that can be subdivided into six separate areas. The arena has a seating capacity of 5,300 spectators. Bloomington Edge
The Bloomington Edge was a professional indoor football team based in Bloomington, Illinois. While it was in operation, the team hosted home games at Grossinger Motors Arena. Originally named the Bloomington Extreme, the team was a member of United Indoor Football (UIF), and joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2009 during the UIF and Intense Football League merger. They left the IFL for the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) in 2013, and in 2015 the CPIFL merged with the Lone Star Football League (LSFL) to create Champions Indoor Football (CIF), where Bloomington did not follow and joined X-League Indoor Football (X-League). Following the 2015 season the Edge joined the CIF. The Dodge City Law were a professional indoor football team based in Dodge City, Kansas, with home games at the United Wireless Arena. The team joined the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) in 2013 as an expansion member for the 2014 season. Dodge City is the county seat of Ford County, Kansas, United States, named after nearby Fort Dodge. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 27,788. The city is famous in American culture for its history as a wild frontier town of the Old West. History The first settlement in the area that became Dodge City was Fort Mann, built by civilians in 1847. At that time the territory was part of Mexico, and the fort was built to provide protection for travelers on the Santa Fe Trail. Fort Mann collapsed in 1848 after an attack by Natives. In 1850, the U.S. Army arrived to provide protection in the region and constructed Fort Atkinson on the old Fort Mann site. The army abandoned Fort Atkinson in 1853. Michael Bragg
Michael Dwayne Bragg (born December 31, 1981) is an American football defensive back. In 2006, he played in the National Football League with the Kansas City Chiefs at cornerback. Bragg played college football for Texas A&M University–Kingsville. Early life Bragg was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated as a prep standout at Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California. College career The California native was a three time All-American selection in the "Long Jump" after beginning his collegiate career at Cerritos College. Upon graduation from Cerritos, Bragg attended Texas A&M University–Kingsville where he completed his collegiate career with 36 tackles, 4 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries, and 10 passes defended. Kendrick Ings
Kendrick Ings (born June 17, 1990) is an American football wide receiver for the Fayetteville Mustangs of the National Arena League (NAL). He has also been a member of the Dodge City Law (CPIFL), Detroit Lions (NFL), BC Lions (CFL), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), Baltimore Brigade (AFL), Atlantic City Blackjacks (AFL), and Carolina Cobras (NAL). Early life Ings attended Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia, where he was a member of the football, basketball and track & field teams. As a senior, Ings tore his ACL, and didn't qualify for college academically. Ings then planned to attend a junior college, where a paperwork error left him without a scholarship. He then spent a year as a student at Fort Valley State University. He then enrolled at yet another junior college, where he was told that he could not play football due to a heart murmur. The Cox Business Convention Center (formerly the Tulsa Assembly Center, Tulsa Convention Center, and Maxwell Convention Center) is a 310,625 square foot convention center located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Cox Business Convention Center (CBCC) was originally named Tulsa Assembly Center. It was later renamed Maxwell Convention Center after former mayor James L. Maxwell. In February 2013, Cox Communications acquired the naming rights to the facility, and renamed it the Cox Business Center, to sync with their Cox Business brand. Landon Arena
The Stormont Vail Events Center, formerly known as Kansas Expocentre, is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena built in 1987 in Topeka, Kansas. Previously, the Topeka Sizzlers of the Continental Basketball Association, Kansas Koyotes indoor football team, Topeka Tarantulas, Topeka ScareCrows, Topeka Pilots ice hockey and Topeka Tropics of Champions Indoor Football teams played there. Many other shows, including concerts, perform here. The Kansas Expocentre was renamed on June 13, 2019, to the Stormont Vail Events Center after signing a ten-year partnership agreement with Topeka-based Stormont Vail Health. It has hosted the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 5A boys and girls state basketball tournaments since its opening, and the KSHSAA Class 5A and 6A volleyball state championships since 1992. Lincoln Haymakers
The Lincoln Haymakers were a professional indoor football team based in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Haymakers played their 2013–2014 home games at the Pershing Center. The Haymakers were the second indoor football team to call Lincoln home, following the Lincoln Lightning/Capitols which played in the original Indoor Football League (1999–2000), arenafootball2 (2001), and the National Indoor Football League (2002–2006). The Haymakers were last coached by Cory Ross. In 2013, Ross served as an interim head coach after previous coach Dave Brumagen was suspended for the season after pushing an Omaha Beef player to the ground after the player had scored a touchdown on May 11.
