The 2014 Croatian Football Super Cup was the eleventh edition of Croatian Football Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the Croatian First League and Croatian Football Cup competitions. Croatian Football Super Cup
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). Since the establishment of Croatian football competitions in 1992, the two local powerhouses GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo, HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk and HNK Rijeka won doubles on twelve occasions (Dinamo Zagreb 11, Hajduk Split 1, Rijeka 1). Marin Leovac (; born 7 August 1988) is a Croatia, Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left back for NK Osijek. Early career Leovac began his career in July 1997 in Austria with Sportunion Aschbach and signed in March 2001 with USV Oed/Zeillern. After only one year left USV Oed/Zeillern and signed in August 2002 a contract with FK Austria Wien. Josip Šimunić
Josip "Joe" Šimunić (; born 18 February 1978) is a Croatian retired footballer and current manager of the Croatia national under-19 team. Born in Australia to Bosnian Croat parents, Šimunić started his career at Melbourne Knights then moved to Germany where he spent 14 seasons in the Bundesliga with Hamburger SV, Hertha BSC and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim before finishing his career in Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb. Jerko Leko (born 9 April 1980) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of the second-tier Druga HNL club Jarun. He primarily played as a central midfielder, but could also operate as a right one, or more defensively, as a right-back. Club career Leko's career began with Dinamo Zagreb in 2000 in his native Croatia, although he was not an immediate success. Matjaž Kek (born 9 September 1961) is a Slovenian professional football manager and former player who is the manager of the Slovenia national team. Playing career Kek started his career at his home club NK Maribor, before moving to another Maribor-based team, Železničar Maribor. In 1980, he returned to Maribor. Andrej Kramarić (; born 19 June 1991) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim and the Croatia national team. Kramarić started his football career in his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb and holds the record as the top youth goalscorer in the club's history. Anas Sharbini ( ar, أنس الشربيني; born 21 February 1987) is a retired Croatian professional footballer. He played as an attacking midfielder or winger, and was best known for his dribbling and crossing skills. Mato Jajalo (; born 25 May 1988) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Serie B club Venezia.
