The election took place after the incumbent president, Giuseppe Scopelliti of The People of Freedom, had been forced to resign because of a conviction for abuse of power. 2019 Calabrian Regional Election
The 2020 Calabrian regional election took place in Calabria, Italy, on 26 January 2020. The result was the victory of the Centre-right coalition (Italy), centre-right coalition and the election of Jole Santelli as President of Calabria.
