The 2014 season was Aalesund's eight consecutive season in the Tippeligaen, and their second season was with Jan Jönsson as their manager. Aalesunds FK
Aalesunds Fotballklubb, commonly known as Aalesund or AaFK, is a Norwegian football club from the town of Ålesund, that competes in the Eliteserien, the first tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 25 June 1914. As of 2004, the football club had 835 members and several teams on both professional and amateur levels. These teams are the 1st and 2nd teams, junior team, and also several age-specific teams. History In 2009 the club won the Norwegian Cup for the first time in its history. They beat rival Molde FK in the Final, and thereby qualified for participation in the UEFA Europa League. Aalesund also won the 2011 Cup Final, where they beat SK Brann. Mikael Bertil Dyrestam (born 10 December 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender. Born in Sweden, he represented the Sweden national team before switching allegiance to Guinea. Since 2019 he represents the Guinea national team. He has formerly played for IFK Göteborg, Aalesunds FK, NEC, Kalmar FF and Xanthi. Michael Barrantes Rojas (; born 4 October 1983) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Cartaginés. Mustafa "Mos" Abdellaoue (born 1 August 1988) is a Norwegian professional footballer who most recently played as a forward for Eliteserien side Sarpsborg 08. He is the younger brother of former Norway international Mohammed Abdellaoue. Club career Abdellaoue was born in Oslo, Norway. Fredrik Stensøe Ulvestad (born 17 June 1992) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ekstraklasa club Pogoń Szczecin. Hugues Wembangomo (born 10 May 1992) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a right back. He has previously played for Sarpsborg 08 and Aalesund, as well as represented Norway at youth international level. Daniel Arnefjord (born 21 March 1979) is a Swedish footballer who last played for Aalesunds FK in the Norwegian Tippeligaen as a centre back. Sten Michael Grytebust (born 25 October 1989) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Aalesund.
