2013–14 Wycombe Wanderers F.C. Season
The 2013–14 Football League Two was Wycombe Wanderers' 126th season in existence and their twentieth season in the English Football League, Football League. This page shows the statistics of the club's players in the season, and also lists all matches that the club played during the 2013–14 in English football, season. The season also marked the end of Ivor Beeks' 28-year career as Wycombe's chairman, on 21 August 2013. During the 28 years he spent as chairman, he oversaw the club's rise from the Isthmian League into the Football League. He continues his affiliation with the club in the role of vice-president. Wycombe ended the season in dramatic style, by achieving League Two survival on the final day of the season. On 3 May 2014, Wycombe began the day three points adrift of safety in the relegation zone. Goal Difference
Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball). Goal difference is calculated as the number of goals scored in all league matches minus the number of goals conceded, and is sometimes known simply as plus–minus. Goal difference was first introduced as a tiebreaker in association football, at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, and was adopted by the Football League in England five years later. Cherrywood Road
Cherrywood Road, known as the Saunders Transport Community Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is the ground of Farnborough F.C. and the former home of Farnborough Town F.C. before the club went out of business in 2007. It lies in the town of Farnborough, Hampshire. The capacity of the ground is 7,000, with 1,927 seats. Up to the mid-1970s Farnborough Town F.C. had played at Queens Road but moved due to the lack of facilities. Cherrywood Road was newly built with the help of a local company Worldwide Carpets. The ground was originally called The John Roberts Ground but the name is rarely used with fans simply referring to the stadium as Cherrywood Road. Jo Kuffour
Jonathan Osei-Kuffour (born 17 November 1981), known as Jo Kuffour, is a former professional footballer who played as a forward. Having come through the youth academy at Premier League side Arsenal, Kuffour notably had spells in the Football League with Torquay United, Brentford, AFC Bournemouth, Bristol Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers. He also played professionally for Swindon Town and Gillingham before finishing his career with non-league side Sutton United. Joshua Charles Scowen (born 28 March 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Wycombe Wanderers. Career Wycombe Wanderers Scowen came through Wycombe Wanderers' youth system, making his professional debut on 26 March 2011, in their 3–0 away win over Morecambe in League Two. He came on as substitute for Kevin Betsy in the 89th minute. Jon-Paul Pittman
Jon-Paul Pittman (born 24 October 1986) is a football coach and former professional player, currently interim head coach of Brentford U18. Pittman began his career in Aston Villa's academy before moving to Nottingham Forest where he spent eight years. This also included two loan spells at Hartlepool United and Bury respectively. Following a short spell at Doncaster Rovers, he moved to Crawley Town. A five-figure move to Wycombe Wanderers followed a season and a half later. He then joined Oxford United and after a short return on loan to Crawley Town made a return to Wycombe. A move to Grimsby Town in 2014 lasted two seasons before signing for Harrogate Town in 2016. Pittman's final playing club was Torquay United in 2017. A career ending knee injury meant Pittman announced his retirement aged 31.
