2013–14 Ukrainian First League
The 2013–14 Ukrainian First League was the 23rd since its establishment. The competition commenced on 14 July 2013. Due to sponsorship reasons the league was called Favbet League 1. The competition had a winter break that started on 30 November 2013 and resumed on 28 March 2014. The completion concluded on 31 May 2014. Ukrainian First League
The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. It is the highest division of Professional Football League. History The league was set up by the newly reorganized Football Federation of Ukraine (a successor of the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR) with the falling apart Soviet Union as a second tier, lower than Ukrainian Higher League (Vyshcha Liha) and higher that Ukrainian Transitional League (Perekhidna Liha). The very first round of games that took place for this league was on 14 March 1992. Kharkiv Oblast
Kharkiv Oblast ( uk, Харківська́ о́бласть, translit=Kharkivska oblast), also referred to as Kharkivshchyna ( uk, Ха́рківщина), is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. Professional Football League of Ukraine ( uk, Професіональна футбольна ліга України, translit=Profesionalna futbolna liha Ukrayiny; also known as PFL) is a sport organization and collective member of the Football Federation of Ukraine. Created in 1996 as a representative of professional clubs in Ukraine, since 2008 it only represents professional clubs of lower leagues (second and third tiers). 2013–14 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2013–14 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 23rd since its establishment. A total of sixteen teams participated in the league. Fifteen teams from last season's competition and one promoted club from the 2012–13 Ukrainian First League formed the league. The competition commenced on the 12 July 2013 when Tavriya Simferopol hosted Zorya Luhansk. Eighteen rounds were played prior to the winter recess. The competition was affected by the political turmoil that affected Ukraine during the spring session. FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih
Football Club Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih () was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Kryvyi Rih. Until 2013 the club participated in professional competitions. In June 2013 the club went bankrupt and was expelled from the Ukrainian Premier League. There was a failed attempt to revive the club in 2014, until finally the club was reestablished again in 2015. In 2020, the club merged with Hirnyk Kryvyi Rih which took on the Kryvbas's brand. History The team was founded as FC Kryvyi Rih in 1959. The next year it was part of the republican sport society Avanhard. After a couple of years it changed to Hirnyk, before obtaining current its name in 1966. Over the years in the Soviet competitions Kryvbas became a record holder for Ukrainian championship wins tying it at four along with SKA Kiev. FC Metalurh Zaporizhya
MFC Metalurh Zaporizhzhia ( uk, Футбо́льний клуб «Металу́рг» Запорі́жжя ) is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Zaporizhzhia. Reestablished in 2017, it is a "phoenix club" of the original Soviet factory team Metalurh that existed in 1935–2016. The original club holds several historical records of the Soviet football, particularly while participating in the Soviet second tier (in 1971–1991 known as First League). The club has the highest number of seasons spent in the Soviet second tier as well as the highest number of tournament points it earned. The club also is a three-times champion of Ukrainian republican competitions. The 2012–13 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 22nd since its establishment in 1991 and fifth since its reorganisation. A total of sixteen teams participated in the league, the best 14 sides of the 2011–12 season and two promoted clubs from the 2011–12 Ukrainian First League. The season commenced on July 13, 2012 when Karpaty Lviv visited Lutsk and played a 1–1 draw against Volyn Lutsk. The competition had a winter break that began on 2 December and resumed on 1 March 2013 when Volyn Lutsk visited Donetsk and played against Shakhtar Donetsk. The ending date of the competition was 26 May 2013. Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk set a new Ukraine Premier League record for number of goals scored in one season. FC Nyva Ternopil
FC Nyva Ternopil ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Нива» Тернопіль) is a Ukrainian football club from the city of Ternopil, the administrative center of Ternopil Oblast. As of the 2020–21 season, it played in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. Originally the club was formed as Nyva Pidhaitsi in the small town Pidhaitsi in 1978, then moved to a district centre Berezhany changing its name to Nyva Berezhany in 1982, and finally moved to Ternopil becoming Nyva Ternopil in 1985. The 2012–13 Ukrainian Second League was the 22nd season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. There are two groups of competition divided by region. The competition began on 13 July 2012 when Hirnyk-Sport Komsomolsk visited Sevastopol to play against FC Sevastopol-2 and lost 3–1. The first stage will be a round robin competition similar to the previous seasons. The first stage of the competition will be played prior to the winter break. The competition was on winter recess from 17 November until 20 March when the competition resumed with the Round 18 match between FC Ternopil and MFC Mykolaiv.
