2013–14 Sultan Qaboos Cup
The 2013–14 Sultan Qaboos Cup was the 41st edition of the Sultan Qaboos Cup ( ar, كأس السلطان قابوس), the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Oman. The competition began on 4 November 2013 with the Qualification Round and concluded on 24 May 2014. Al-Suwaiq Club were the defending champions, having won their second title in 2013. On Saturday 24 May 2014, Fanja SC were crowned the champions of the 2013-14 Sultan Qaboos Cup when they defeated, Al-Nahda Club 2-0, hence winning the title for the record ninth time. Fanja SC
Fanja Sports Club ( ar, نادي فنجاء الرياضي; also known locally as ''Al-Malik'', or "The King" because of their great success, or just plainly as Fanja) is an Omani sports club based in Fanja, Oman. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Seeb Stadium. The stadium is government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities. History Fanja SC was founded in 1970 and registered in the very next year in 1971. The club has an illustrious history with a total of eight Omani League titles to their name. The club's best years were in the 1970s and the 1980s, but the death of the club owner HRH Sayyid Sami adversely affected the club and after that for the next 20 years, Fanja failed to receive even one trophy. Al-Kamel Wa Al-Wafi SC
Al-Kamil ( ar, الكامل) (full name: al-Malik al-Kamil Naser ad-Din Abu al-Ma'ali Muhammad) (c. 1177 – 6 March 1238) was a Muslim ruler and the fourth Ayyubid sultan of Egypt. Al-Seeb Club ( ar, نادي السيب; also known locally as ''The Emperor'', or "Master of the Clubs", or simply as Al-Seeb or Seeb Club) is an Omani professional football club based in Al-Seeb, that competes in the Oman Professional League, the top flight of Omani Football. Sur ( ar, صُوْر, Ṣūr) is the capital city of Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, and the former capital of Ash Sharqiyah Region in northeastern Oman, on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. Al-Oruba Sports Club was a Qatari football club. The football club merged with Al-Nasour to form a new football club named Al-Esteqlal, now known as Qatar SC. It was a founding member of the Q-League and it has won five consecutive Q-League titles. History Early career Al Oruba was founded in 1959. Al Buraimi Governorate ( ar, مُحَافَظَة ٱلْبُرَيْمِي, Muḥāfaẓat Al-Buraimī) is one of the 11 governorates of Oman which was split from the Ad Dhahirah Region.
