2013–14 Siena Saints Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Siena Saints men's basketball team represented Siena College during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Saints, led by first year head coach Jimmy Patsos, played their home games at the Times Union Center, with some exhibition and postseason games at Alumni Recreation Center, and were members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 20–18, 11–9 in MAAC play to finish in fifth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the MAAC tournament to Canisius. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they defeated Stony Brook, Penn State and Illinois State to advance to the best-of-3 finals vs Fresno State. In the finals, they defeated Fresno State 2 games to 1 to be crowned 2014 CBI champions. Jimmy Patsos
James John Patsos (born October 1, 1966) is an American college basketball coach. Patsos earned his B.A. from The Catholic University of America, Catholic University in 1989. There, he played basketball under Jack Bruen, who later coached Colgate University to a couple of NCAA tournament appearances in the 1990s. Early career Patsos served on the coaching staff of Gary Williams at the University of Maryland, College Park, University of Maryland for 13 years, beginning as a volunteer assistant in 1991. Patsos took over at Loyola after they suffered a 1–27 season under former coach Scott Hicks (basketball), Scott Hicks. Patsos was the 20th head coach of Loyola men's basketball. In his first season as coach in 2004, he guided them to a 6–22 record. Morton High School is the four year public high school of Morton Community Unit School District 709 in Morton, Illinois. Band The Morton High School marching band has become very well known regionally in recent years. The marching band website reports they have done well, both in local competitions and in national competitions sponsored by the Bands of America association. The high school band was also invited to play at the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, becoming the first band in central Illinois history do so. The high school also hosts a band invitational that ran for the thirteenth year in September, 2018. Oakland Mills High School
Oakland Mills High School was established in 1973 as one of the first high schools to serve the planned developed new U.S. town of Columbia, Maryland area, established by James Rouse and his Rouse Company in 1967 in Howard County, midway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It is part of the Howard County Public Schools system (HCPSS). The building had its first renovation in 1991, and another in 1998. A new addition was put onto OMHS in 2004, the "new wing," raising its total capacity to 1,400 students. Recently, both Oakland Mills High School and Oakland Mills Middle School were affected by a mold issue which required renovations to both schools. While Oakland Mills High has not needed more renovations, after Oakland Mills Middle suffered a fire early January 2016, it was discovered that the mold issue was not solved and required more renovations.
