2013–14 SAFA Second Division
The 2013-14 SAFA Second Division (known as the ABC Motsepe League for sponsorship reasons) was the 16th season of the SAFA Second Division, the third tier league for South African association football clubs, since its establishment in 1998. Due to the size of South Africa, the competition is split into nine divisions, one for each region. After the league stage of the regional competition was completed, the nine teams are placed into two 'streams', sometimes referred to as the Inland and Coastal streams. SAFA Second Division
The ABC Motsepe League, previously known as the Vodacom League between 1998 and 2012, was founded in 1998 as the current Second Division and the overall third tier of South African football. The competition is regulated by SAFA, and until 2012 had been sponsored by mobile telecommunications company Vodacom. It features 144 teams in total, divided into 9 divisions, borders decided by the 9 geo-political provinces of South Africa: Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu Natal, Northern Cape, Western Cape, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West. Each provincial division contains 16 teams. The winner of each provincial division qualifies for the annual promotional playoffs, where the winners of two streams are promoted to the National First Division. Cape Town All Stars
All Stars is a South African football club based in Johannesburg. The club was founded as Cape Town All Stars in 2010, and played their home games at the Athlone Stadium. They dissolved after selling their National First Division league status to then third tier TS Galaxy in 2018. In 2020 they bought back their status from TS Galaxy, who in turn bought their way into the PSL by purchasing the status from Highlands Park. Relocation and renaming The club relocated from Cape Town to Johannesburg at the start of the 2022–23 season, and were renamed All Stars F.C. Highlands Park
Highlands Park Football Club was a South African professional soccer club who played in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. They were founded in 2003 as a phoenix club to the earlier Highlands Park F.C. (1959) and Highlands Park F.C. (1990) The club started out in the fourth tier of the South African Football league, known as SAFA Regional League, and got promoted in 2007 to compete in the third tier, known as Vodacom League.
