2013–14 Regional Super50
The 2013–14 NAGICO Super50 was the 40th season of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The competition was played as a standalone tournament (rather than using a league format), with all matches held in Trinidad and Tobago to coincide with Carnival. Eight teams contested the competition – the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket (Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands), plus a development team (Combined Campuses and Colleges) and an invited international team (Ireland). Barbados were undefeated in the group stage and were eventually joined in the final by Trinidad and Tobago. The final was played at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, with Barbados winning by 17 runs to claim its seventh domestic one-day title. West Indies Cricket Board
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies). It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. Ashley Renaldo Nurse (born 22 December 1988) is a West Indian cricketer who plays first-class, List A and Twenty20 cricket for Barbados. He is a right-arm off-break bowler and a right-handed batsman. Jason Omar Holder (born 5 November 1991) is a Barbadian cricketer and the former captain of the West Indies cricket team. He is a right arm fast bowling all-rounder. Holder made his One Day International (ODI) debut in January 2013 and Test debut in June 2014. In June 2019, Holder played in his 100th ODI match for the West Indies, during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Kirk Anton Edwards (born 3 November 1984) is a West Indies former international cricketer. He played as a right-handed batsman, domestically mainly for Barbados. Domestic career In May 2018, he was selected to play for the Windward Islands national cricket team in the Professional Cricket League draft, ahead of the 2018–19 season. In October 2019, he was named as the captain of the Windward Islands for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament. Fidel Edwards
Fidel Henderson Edwards (born 6 February 1982) is a Barbadian cricketer, who plays all formats of the game. A pace bowler, his round-arm action is "not unlike" that of former fast bowler Jeff Thomson. He was spotted in the nets by Brian Lara and was called up for his Test debut against Sri Lanka after just one match for Barbados. Despite a promising start to his Test career, he has been injury prone and inconsistent. With an average of just under 40 in Test cricket, he has struggled to fulfil his early potential. Shane Dowrich
Shane Omari Dowrich (born 30 October 1991) is a Barbadian international cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper. He has featured for the West Indies, Barbados along with CPL teams St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Barbados Tridents in his cricketing career. Dowrich is also the current captain of the Barbados' first class side. Jonathan Lyndon Carter (born 16 November 1987) is a Barbadian cricketer who currently plays for Barbados. He is a big-hitting left-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm medium pace. Kraigg Clairmonte Brathwaite (born 1 December 1992) is a Barbadian cricketer who captains the West Indies in Test cricket. He bats right-handed and occasionally bowls right arm off break. Tino Best
Tino la Bertram Best (born 26 August 1981) is a West Indian cricketer. Since 2002, he has played domestic cricket for his native Barbados, with a season at English club Yorkshire in 2010. Best made his Test debut in May 2003 and played his first One Day International a year later. A back strain incurred in May 2004 prevented Best from playing cricket until March the following year. In 2008 Best signed to play in the Indian Cricket League because he had not played international cricket since 2006.
