2013–14 Liga Panameña De Fútbol Season
The 2013–14 Liga Panameña de Fútbol season was the 25th season of top-flight football in Panama. The season began on 20 July 2013 and was scheduled to end in May 2014. Ten teams competed throughout the entire season. Teams Atlético Chiriquí finished in 10th place in the overall table last season and were relegated to the Liga Nacional de Ascenso. Liga Panameña De Fútbol
The Liga Panameña de Fútbol (LPF) ( en, Panamanian Football League) is the top division football league in Panama. Until 2009, the league was named ''Asociación Nacional Pro Fútbol (ANAPROF)''. Competition format The league's season is divided into two tournaments called the Apertura and Clausura. Teams are divided into two Conferences (Eastern and Western). The Eastern Conference is composed by: Tauro, Plaza Amador, Alianza, Club Deportivo del Este, Arabe Unido, and Sporting San Miguelito, while the Western Conference is composed by: Herrera FC, Club Atletico Independiente, Veraguas, Club Universitario, Chiriqui, and San Francisco. Marcos Sánchez (footballer, Born 1989)
Marcos Aníbal Sánchez Mullins (born 23 December 1989) is a Panamanian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Tauro. Career Club Sánchez made his professional debut in 2010 with Panamanian club Tauro. While with Tauro he helped the club capture the Apertura 2010 and Clausura 2012 titles. Overall, Sánchez appeared in 66 matches with Tauro and scored four goals. After an impressive preseason trial with D.C. United, Sánchez was signed by the American club on a year-long loan on 26 February 2013. However, Sánchez was released on 31 May 2013, and he will return to his old club Tauro. Estadio Rommel Fernández
The Estadio Olímpico Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez, named after the Panamanian football star Rommel Fernández (1966–1993), is a multi-purpose stadium in Panama City. It is used for different sports, but mainly football (soccer) games. It was inaugurated February 6, 1970, and was designed to accommodate the XI Central American and Caribbean Games in 1970. Roberto Ronaldo Brown Perea (born July 15, 1977) is a Panamanian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was appointed assistant manager of sports of the Municipality of Panama in May 2014. Club Deportivo Plaza Amador
Plaza Amador is a Panamanian football club based in Panama City, that currently plays in Liga Panameña de Fútbol. It is the oldest team in Panama. History C.D Plaza Amador was founded in 1955 by Panamanian sports legend León Cocoliso Tejada (1927–1982). Under Tejada's leadership, the club relied heavily on developing and training players (rather than high-profile signings). After Tejada's's death, new directors Andrés Villa, Daniel Vàsquez and Enrique Cajar led the club back to the highest level of Panamanian football.
