2013–14 LV Cup
The 2013–14 LV Cup (styled as the LV= Cup) is the 43rd season of England's national rugby union cup competition, and the ninth to follow the Anglo-Welsh format. The competition consists of the four Welsh Pro12 teams and the twelve English Premiership clubs arranged into pools consisting of three English and one Welsh team. English clubs have been allocated to the pools depending on their finish in the 2012–13 Aviva Premiership. Welsh regions have been allocated to the pools to avoid repeating fixtures from the Heineken and Amlin Challenge Cups where possible. Teams are guaranteed two home and two away pool matches, with teams in Pools 1 and 4 playing each other and teams in Pools 2 and 3 playing each other, with the top team from each pool qualifying for the semi-finals. Nick Tompkins
Nick Tompkins (born 16 February 1995) is a rugby union player who plays at centre for English Premiership club Saracens and the Wales national team. Tompkins came through the academy at Saracens. Born in Sidcup, England, Tompkins qualifies for Wales through his Welsh grandmother. Club career Tompkins started playing rugby at an early age for Old Elthamians RFC. After initially playing as a flanker, he made the switch to centre while in the Saracens academy. In 2012, Tompkins made his debut for Saracens in the LV Cup. His 100th Saracens cap came in 2019, when he scored a hat-trick in 28 minutes against Gloucester in the Premiership Rugby semi-final. Ben Ransom
Ben Ransom (born 16 February 1992 in Bexley, Kent) is an ex-rugby union player who last played for London Irish in the Greene King IPA Championship. He played at Fullback and has represented England at U16, U18 and U20 level. He was educated at Tonbridge School in Kent. He previously attended St Michael’s School, Otford and appeared for Old Elthamians, having first played the game at school and club when seven. Joe Carlisle
Joe Carlisle (born 4 December 1987) is an English rugby union player for Rotherham Titans in National League 2 North. Joe is a Worcester Warriors Academy product who made his league debut for Warriors in 2008 before appearing off the bench in the European Challenge Cup final against Bath Rugby at Kingsholm. Neil Cochrane
Neil Cochrane (born 4 January 1984 in Edinburgh) is a retired Scottish rugby union player. Cochrane played for Edinburgh Rugby from 2014 until his retirement at the end of the 2018 season having spent the early parts of his career in England. A former captain of the Scotland under 21s, he was known as a hard-hitting forward with plenty of pace and power. Matt Everard
Matt Everard (born 9 January 1991) is a rugby union coach and former professional player. He is currently Defence Coach at Leicester Tigers for the 2023/24 season. He previously worked in a coaching role at Wasps RFC, after retiring from playing for Nottingham in 2017 where he was captain, and played in the back row. He was previously the director of rugby for Long Eaton RFC where he was assisted by former Nottingham teammates Murray McConnell and Tom Holmes. Wasps Rugby Football Club is a professional rugby union team. They last played in Premiership Rugby, the top division of English rugby until being suspended on 12 October 2022. On 17 October 2022 the club entered administration, resulting in relegation to the RFU Championship, and all staff being made redundant. They exited administration on 16 December 2022. Scarlets
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup (which replaced the Heineken Cup from the 2014–15 season). Newcastle Falcons
Newcastle Falcons is a rugby union team that play in Premiership Rugby, England's highest division of rugby union. The club was established in 1877 as the Gosforth Football Club. Around 1882 the club merged with the Northumberland Football Club and briefly assumed their name until 1887. In 1990, the name was changed to Newcastle Gosforth and the club began to play at Kingston Park stadium in Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.
