The 2013–14 season was Inverness Caledonian Thistle's fourth consecutive season in the top flight of Scottish football and the first in the newly established Scottish Premiership, having been promoted from the Scottish First Division at the end of the 2009–10 season. Inverness Caledonian Thistle F
Inverness (; from the gd, Inbhir Nis , meaning "Mouth of the River Ness"; sco, Innerness) is a city in the Scottish Highlands. It is the administrative centre for The Highland Council and is regarded as the capital of the Highlands and Islands (Scottish Parliament electoral region), Highlands. Historically it served as the county town of the Counties of Scotland, county of Inverness-shire. Inverness lies near two important battle sites: the 11th century, 11th-century battle of Blar Nam Feinne, Blàr nam Fèinne against Norway which took place on the Aird, and the 18th century Battle of Culloden which took place on Culloden, Highland#Battlefield of Culloden, Culloden Moor. Zander Sutherland
Alexander Sutherland (born 7 September 1987) is a Scottish former professional footballer who last played for Brora Rangers. Born in Wick, he grew up in the village of Helmsdale in Sutherland. He made his début for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in a home game against Falkirk. In the next season, Sutherland's appearances were limited by then manager Charlie Christie. His first game of the season saw him come on as a substitute against Dunfermline Athletic in September. However, he did not play with the first team again until December in a game against Kilmarnock. He conceded a penalty kick which was the winning goal in a 4–3 win for Killie. Sutherland did not play again until April, against Kilmarnock again and then Dunfermline again in May. Brora Rangers F
Brora ( , gd, Brùra) is a village in the east of Sutherland, in the Highland area of Scotland. Origin of the name The name ''Brora'' is derived from Old Norse and means "river with a bridge". History Brora is a small industrial village, having at one time a coal pit, boat building, salt pans, fish curing, lemonade factory, the new Clynelish Distillery (as well as the old Clynelish distillery which is now called the Brora distillery ), wool mill, bricks and a stone quarry. The white sandstone in the Clynelish quarry belongs to the Brora Formation, of the Callovian and Oxfordian stages (formerly Middle Oolite) of the Mid-Late Jurassic. Stone from the quarry was used in the construction of London Bridge, Liverpool Cathedral and Dunrobin Castle. When in operation, the coalmine was the most northerly coalmine in the UK. Borough Briggs
Borough Briggs is a football ground in Elgin, Moray, Scotland and is the most northerly football league stadium in Great Britain. This venue is the home ground of Elgin City who currently play in the Scottish League Two. Borough Briggs opened on 20 August 1921 when Inverness Citadel were the visitors in a Highland League fixture, which Elgin won 3–0. The first player to score at the ground was City centre-half Willie Raitt after 20 minutes of the first-half at the Lossie Green end, other scorers were Alf Mitchell and Charlie Taylor. Richie Foran
Richard Foran (born 16 June 1980) is an Irish football player and coach. He played for St Patrick's Athletic, Shelbourne, Carlisle United, Oxford United, Motherwell, Southend United, Darlington and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. After retiring as a player he became the manager of Inverness, but he left this position after the club were relegated in his first season in charge. Ryan Christie (born 22 February 1995) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club AFC Bournemouth and the Scotland national team. Gary Robert Warren (born 16 August 1984) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Clachnacuddin. He is also Head of Professional Academy at Scottish Premiership club Ross County. Club career Warren's football career began at Mangotsfield United in the Southern League, for whom he played between 2002 and 2006. He rose up through the youth & reserve ranks to the first team and made his debut for Mangotsfield away to Evesham United on 1 April 2003.
