2013–14 Croatian Second Football League
The 2013–14 Druga HNL (also known as 2. HNL) was the 23rd season of Croatia's second level football competition since its establishment in 1992. NK Zagreb were league champions and earned a place in Croatia's first division, Prva HNL. Format The league was contested by 12 teams (four less than in the previous season). Only two teams from Treća HNL were granted license for competing in the Druga HNL, HNK Segesta and HNK Val. Segesta won the qualification playoffs by 3-2 on aggregate and earned a place in Druga HNL. Zagreb, Cibalia and Inter Zaprešić were relegated from 2012–13 Prva HNL. Changes from last season The following clubs have been promoted or relegated at the end of the 2012–13 season: From 2. Druga HNL
The Prva nogometna liga ( en, First football league), commonly Prva NL or 1. NL, is the second tier of the football league system in Croatia. The league was formed in 1991 with the breakup of Yugoslavia and the dissolution of the Yugoslav Second League. The 1. NL is operated by the Croatian Football Federation, which also was formed in 1991, contributing (along with the newly formed Football Association of Slovenia) to the dissolution of the Football Association of Yugoslavia. Between the 2001–02 season and 2005–06 season, the league was split in two divisions, one being the Northern Croatian Second League and the other being the Southern Croatian Second League. HNK Šibenik
Hrvatski nogometni klub Šibenik ( en, Croatian Football Club Šibenik), better known as HNK Šibenik or simply Šibenik (), is a Croatian professional football club based in Šibenik. It competes in the Croatian Football League, and plays their home matches at the Stadion Šubićevac, which has a capacity of 3,412. History The club was formed in 1932 under the name Radničko sportsko društvo Šibenik (''Workers' Sport Association Šibenik''). The first president, Dr Martin Čičin-Šain, was only appointed to this role during the first board meeting, which was held in August 1933. Stadion HNK Cibalia
Stadion Cibalia is a multi-purpose stadium in Vinkovci, Croatia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of HNK Cibalia. It has a grass court, surrounded with a clay running surface, and stands, a part of which is covered. The stadium can hold 10,000 people, with 6,000 seats, of which 2,175 seats are under a roof and another 120 are in the luxury suite. It is located in the southern part of the city, across the river Bosut from the city centre. It was built in 1966, and expanded in 1982, when Dinamo Vinkovci entered the Yugoslav First League for the first time. At the time the total capacity was 18,000, but mostly standing-only. It was last upgraded in 2003, when two sets of stands were fitted with a total of 3,700 seats. Vinkovci
Vinkovci () is a city in Slavonia, in the Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia. The city's registered population was 28,247 in the 2021 census, the total population of the city was 31,057, making it the largest town of the county. NK Sesvete is a Croatian football club based in the Sesvete district of the city of Zagreb. Nogometni klub Lučko is a Croatian football club based in the Novi Zagreb – zapad (New Zagreb-West) district in southwest Zagreb. NK Pomorac
NK Pomorac 1921 is a Croatian football club based in Kostrena, a suburb of Rijeka which currently plays in Croatian third tier 3. HNL West. Kostrena is known for its maritime tradition, which is reflected in the club's name, as the word " pomorac" means "mariner" or "seaman" in English. HNK Gorica
Hrvatski nogometni klub Gorica ( en, Croatian Football Club Gorica), commonly referred to as HNK Gorica or simply Gorica, is a Croatian football club based in the town of Velika Gorica, located just south of the Croatian capital Zagreb. They play their home matches at the Gradski stadion Velika Gorica, which has a capacity of 5,200. NK Dugopolje is a professional Croatian association football, football club based in the town of Dugopolje on the outskirts of Split (city), Split, a city on the Adriatic coast. NK Vinogradar
NK Vinogradar ( en, FC Winemaker) was a Croatian football club based in the village of Lokošin Dol, part of the town of Jastrebarsko. The club merged with NK Jaska in 2021 after the death of Ivan Rubinić, the former owner who helped the club become well known as a well-run amateur team in the 2000s and 2010s with a number of cup runs. History During the 1960s, people in Jastrebarsko and surrounding villages began to play football more seriously and to form the first football clubs. At the beginning of the 1970s, neighborhoods of Jastrebarsko as well the nearby villages began to play football tournaments. Nogometni Klub Primorac 1929 ( en, Football Club Primorac 1929), commonly referred to as Primorac Stobreč, is a Croatian football club based in the small coastal town of Stobreč near the city of Split in central Dalmatia.
