2013–14 AaB Fodbold Season
The 2013–14 season is AaB Fodbold, AaB's 31st consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 24th consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and the 128th year as a Football team, football club. AaB will participate in the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League, Europa League this season, coming in 5th place in the 2012–13 Danish Superliga. The club had the most successful season in its history, winning the 2013–14 Danish Superliga, Danish Superliga for a fourth time and the 2013–14 Danish Cup, Danish Cup for a third time, therefore becoming the fifth Danish club to complete Double (association football), the "Double". AaB, (full name: ''Aalborg Boldspilklub'', ) internationally referred to as Aalborg BK, commonly known internationally as Aalborg BK and occasionally referred to as AaB Aalborg, is a professional football club based in Aalborg, Denmark. The club currently competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of Danish football. AaB is one of the oldest and most historically significant clubs in Danish football, having been founded on 13 May 1885. Initially formed as a cricket club by English railway engineers, the club adopted football in 1902 and has competed under the name ''Aalborg Boldspilklub af 1885'' since 1906. The 2013–14 UEFA Europa League was the 43rd season of Europe's secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the fifth season under its current title. The final was played between Sevilla and Benfica at the Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy, which was won by Sevilla on penalties, giving them a record-equalling third UEFA Cup/Europa League title. Jakob Ahlmann Nielsen
Jakob Ahlmann Nielsen (born 18 January 1991) is a retired Danish professional association football, footballer who played as a left-back and current scout at AaB Fodbold, AaB. He has played three matches for the Denmark national football team. Club career Early career Ahlmann started playing football in the youth of Brønderslev IF. As a 13-year-old, he was discovered by AaB Fodbold, AaB and joined the club's youth department. In 2006, two years after his transfer to AaB, however, he moved to FC Midtjylland, to play for their youth academy. Lyngby Boldklub () is a professional Football (soccer), football club based in Kongens Lyngby, Lyngby, Denmark, founded in 1921. It is based at Lyngby Stadion. The club play in the Danish Superliga. Nicolai Oppen Larsen (born 9 March 1991) is a Danish professional association football, footballer who plays as a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for and Captain (association football), captains Danish Superliga club Silkeborg IF, Silkeborg.
