2013–14 AZAL PFC Season
The AZAL 2013–14 season was AZAL's ninth Azerbaijan Premier League season, in which they finished 8th in the League. They also participated in the Azerbaijan Cup, where they were defeated in the Second Round by Qarabağ. Shuvalan FK ( az, Şüvəlan Futbol Klubu, ) is an Azerbaijani football club based in Şüvəlan, Baku. The club was renamed four times in its short history becoming Olimpik Baku, Olimpik-Shuvalan Baku, AZAL and Shuvalan. UEFA is still recognizing the club as Olimpik-Shuvalan at European competitions. The club is also a member of the European Club Association, an organization that replaced the previous G-14 which consists of major football clubs in Europe. History Early years (1996–2006) The club were established in 1996 as a futsal club under the name of ''AMMK''. It participated in national futsal league from the season 1996–97 until 2003–04. Samuel Barlay (born 15 September 1986) is a Sierra Leonean footballer who plays as a midfielder. He has represented Sierra Leone at international level. Oskars Kļava (born 8 August 1983) is a Latvian football coach and a former defender. He is the manager of Spartaks Jūrmala. Career Club Kļava was born in Liepāja. As a youth player he played for his local club Liepājas Metalurgs, making his first-team debut in 2002. Jahangir Hasanzade ( az, Cahangir Əli oğlu Həsənzadə; born 4 August 1979) is a retired Azerbaijani footballer who last played for Khazar Lankaran.
