2013 World Netball Series
The 2013 Fast5 Netball World Series was the fifth staging of the annual Netball World Series, and the second to be played under the new Fast5 rules, which replaced the older fastnet rules introduced in 2009. The tournament was held at Vector Arena in Auckland for the second year in a row. The 2013 tournament was contested by the top six national netball teams in 2013. Hosts New Zealand defeated Australia in the Grand Final by 56 to 27, to record their fourth overall series victory in the tournament. Maria Tutaia
Solonaima Maria Folau (née Tuta'ia; born 18 February 1987 in Tokoroa, New Zealand) is a retired New Zealand netball player. She played regularly for the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns. Early life Folau was born Solonaima Maria Tuta'ia in Tokoroa on 18 February 1987, the daughter of Fuisami Tuta'ia, a forestry worker, and his wife, Niukini, a homemaker, who in 1983 had moved to New Zealand from Samoa. She was named for her grandmothers, Solonaima and Malia, and she began using her middle name when she entered school as her teacher had difficulty pronouncing her first name. Maria Tuta'ia was an attendee of Lynfield College but in the final year of it, transferred to Mount Albert Grammar School. Paige Hadley
Paige Amber Hadley (born 26 August 1992) is an Australian international netball player. Primarily a wing attack and centre player, Hadley is a member of the Australian national team and plays in the ANZ Championship for the New South Wales Swifts. Early life Born in Sydney, Hadley was started playing netball at the age of seven and later became a Penrith District Netball Association junior. While still in school she got an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 97.8 and was offered a scholarship to study at Western Sydney University. Demelza McLoud
Demelza McCloud (née Fellowes; born 5 August 1980) is an Australian netball player. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. McCloud was selected in the Australian national team in 2004 and 2005. Domestically, she has played for the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Melbourne Kestrels in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy, and also played in New Zealand for the Otago Rebels in the 2007 National Bank Cup. With the advent of the trans-Tasman ANZ Championship, McCloud was rostered with the Canterbury Tactix in New Zealand for the inaugural season in 2008. For the 2009 season, she signed with the Queensland Firebirds. In 2009, McCloud was selected as part of the World 7 team where players from England, Jamaica, Samoa and Australia (not part of the Diamonds squad) formed a team to play against the Silver Ferns. Susan Pratley
Susan Leanne Pettitt (née ''Pratley'' on 23 March 1984) is a former Australian international netball player, who played goal attack or goal shooter. She was a member of the Australian national team from 2006–2018, replacing the likes of Eloise Southby-Halbish, Megan Dehn, and Cynna Kydd. Prior to this she was quite an experienced campaigner as captain of the Australian 21 and under team, and the national league team AIS Canberra Darters. She made her debut in 2002 with Sydney Sandpipers. Gabi Simpson
Gabrielle Simpson (born 17 October 1992), also known as Gabi Simpson, is an Australia netball international. Simpson was vice-captain of the Australia team that won the silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Simpson was also a member of the Queensland Firebirds teams that won the 2015 and 2016 ANZ Championships. Since 2017, Simpson has captained Firebirds in Suncorp Super Netball. Gretel Tippett
Gretel Bueta (née Tippett; born 3 July 1993) is an Australian netball player and former basketball player. Basketball Bueta played for the Australian Institute of Sport in the Women's National Basketball League during the 2010/2011 season. She played half the season with the Logan Thunder in the 2011/2012 season and was named Rookie of the Year for WNBL in 2011 before pulling out due to glandular fever. Joanna Weston
Joanna Weston (born 14 February 1994) is an Australian netball player for the Australian Diamonds and Melbourne Vixens in the Suncorp Super Netball league. She was part of the Diamonds side that won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Weston has been a member of the Diamonds squad since her debut at the Constellation Cup in 2015. She was also in the Australian team at the 2019 Netball World Cup, finishing runners up to New Zealand. Casey Kopua
Casey May Kopua (née Williams; born 19 June 1985) is a retired New Zealand international netball player and former captain of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, and the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Kopua became a member of the New Zealand national netball team (the Silver Ferns) in 2004, making her on-court debut in 2005 against Barbados. She also played in the New Zealand U21 netball team that won gold at the 2005 World Youth Netball Championships in Florida. Laura Robyn Langman (born 16 April 1986) is a retired New Zealand international netball player, who last played domestic netball for the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Australian Super Netball league. Primarily a midcourt player, Langman is a former captain and vice-captain of the New Zealand national netball team (nicknamed the Silver Ferns). She is the most capped player in the history of the Silver Ferns, having overtaken Irene van Dyk's record of 145 test matches in October 2018. Anna Thompson (netball Player)
Anna Kennedy (born 18 June 1986 in Christchurch, New Zealand) is a New Zealand netball player. Kennedy plays in the ANZ Championship for the Canterbury Tactix. In 2009, she was named as a member of the Silver Ferns squad. She was included in the FastNet Ferns the following year, and was called back into the Silver Ferns for 2011 as cover for injured vice-captain Temepara George. She made the team for the 2011 Netball World Championships after Cathrine Latu was ruled ineligible. Courtney Tairi (born 15 July 1988) is a former New Zealand netball international. She also represented Australia at under-21 level. She was a member of the Australia team that won the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships. During the ANZ Championship era, Tairi played for New South Wales Swifts, Southern Steel and Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. She finished her netball playing career with Northern Stars in the 2017 ANZ Premiership.
