2013 Valais Cup
The Valais Cup is an international football tournament that is part of the Valais Football Summer Cups. It is played at the Stade de Tourbillon in Sion, Switzerland. The competition features football teams preparing their season in Valais and its surroundings. Five European top-clubs participated in the first edition of the tournament 6, 9 and 13 July 2013: Porto, Marseille, VfL Wolfsburg, Saint-Étienne and Sion. Porto won the Valais Cup after its victory 3–0 against Marseille. Helton da Silva Arruda (born 18 May 1978), known simply as Helton, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. After starting out at Vasco da Gama he went on to spend his professional career in Portugal, representing União de Leiria and Porto and winning 18 major titles for the latter club. Fernando Francisco Reges (born 25 July 1987), known simply as Fernando (), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Sevilla as a defensive midfielder. Juan Manuel Iturbe Arévalo (born 4 June 1993) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a forward for Greek Super League club Aris and the Paraguay national team. Jackson Arley Martínez Valencia (; born 3 October 1986) is a Colombian former professional footballer who played as a striker. He started his career with Independiente Medellin in 2004 and becoming the league's top scorer in 2009, before being signed by Chiapas in January 2010. Bas Dost (; born 31 May 1989) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eredivisie club FC Utrecht. Having begun his career at FC Emmen in the Eerste Divisie, Dost later played in the Eredivisie for Heracles Almelo and SC Heerenveen. In 2012, after being the top scorer in the league with 32 goals in 34 games, he was signed by VfL Wolfsburg.
