2013 Uzbekistan Cup
The 2013 Uzbekistan Cup was the 21st season of the annual Uzbek football Cup competition. The Cup draw was held on February 25, 2013 in Tashkent. The competition to start on March 24, 2013, and ends in September 25, 2013 with the final to be held at the Pakhtakor Markaziy Stadium in Tashkent. Bunyodkor are the defending champions. The cup winner is guaranteed a place in the 2014 AFC Champions League. Calendar First round On March 22, 2013, Uzbek PFL authority announced changes of participants of 2013 Uzbek Cup. FK Khiva and ''Neftchi Tinchlik'' are replaced by Bunyodkor-2 and ''Bukhoro-2'' because of lack of the financial support. FK Khiva - Bukhoro-2, Kokand 1912 - Neftchi Tinchlik, FK Orol Nukus - Xorazm FK Urganch matches have been canceled. Football Club Bunyodkor ( uz, Bunyodkor futbol klubi) is an Uzbekistan, Uzbek professional association football, football club based in Tashkent that competes in the Uzbekistan Super League. Bunyodkor, a relatively unknown club at the time, made international headlines when it claimed to be close to signing world-famous FC Barcelona, Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, although he did not sign with them. On 25 August 2008, AEK Athens FC, AEK Athens Brazilian superstar Rivaldo announced to the Greek press that he was joining Bunyodkor on a reported $14 million two-year contract. FC Shurtan Guzar ( uz, Sho'rtan G'uzor professional futbol klubi or Шўртан Ғузор футбол клуби) is an Uzbek football club based in G‘uzor, Uzbekistan. History During its first years the club played in the lower divisions of Uzbekistan. In 2006 FC Shurtan made its debut in the Uzbek League. The 2010 season was the club's most successful season when they finished 4th in the league and were runners-up in the Uzbek Cup.
