2013 Tour Of Austria
The 2013 Tour of Austria (german: 2013 Internationale Österreich Rundfahrt) was the 65th edition of the Tour of Austria, an annual bicycle race. Departing from Innsbruck on June 30, concluded in Vienna on July 7. The 1115.2 km long stage race is part of the 2013 UCI Europe Tour, and is rated as a 2.HC event. Teams 18 teams were invited to participate in the tour: 9 UCI ProTeams, 4 UCI Professional Continental Teams and 5 UCI Continental Teams. 2013 UCI Europe Tour
The 2013 UCI Europe Tour was the ninth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2013 season began on 27 January 2013 with the Grand Prix d'Ouverture La Marseillaise, Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise and ended on 20 October 2013 with the Chrono des Nations. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Europe Tour cycling jersey. John Degenkolb of Germany was the defending champion of the 2012 UCI Europe Tour. Riccardo Zoidl of Austria was crowned as the 2013 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Stefan Denifl (born 22 September 1987) is an Austrian former professional cyclist, who rode professionally between 2006 and 2018 for seven different professional teams. In 2019, Denifl confessed to doping during a five-year period in his career, and was given a four-year ban from the sport; as a consequence of this, Denifl received a two-year sentence in 2021 for serious commercial fraud. Matija Kvasina (born 4 December 1981) is a Croatian racing cyclist, who most recently rode for UCI Continental team . He finished 56th in the road race and 38th in the road time trial at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In 2017, Kvasina was given a four-year doping suspension after a positive drugs test at that year's Flèche du Sud. Kitzbüheler Horn
The Kitzbüheler Horn (also spelt Kitzbühler Horn) is a mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol, Austria, whose western flank lies near the smart ski resort of Kitzbühel. With a height of it only just misses being a 'two-thousander'. At the summit is a 102 metre high TV tower belonging to the ORF and known as the Kitzbüheler Horn Transmission Tower (''Sendeturm Kitzbüheler Horn'').
